12.09.17 | Heat is one of the best ever, yes. Its length doesn't bother me at all, the story and its characters definitely deserve the three hours. It's more of a drama with action scenes after all rather than the other way around, and that's part of what makes it amazing. Not sure if "Michael Mann gets a script" is the right way to put it btw since he didn't "get" it but wrote it himself - over the course of several years.
The only other film I've seen on here is Zero Theorem. Didn't like that one that much, it was all over the place, felt like it didn't know what it wanted to be. Interesting ending though. |
