Hurricane Harvey jams

So here in Houston is a giant storm that's causing record-breaking flooding. It's rained non-stop for days and many people have lost their homes because of it. Two tornadoes touched ground like a mile from my house, something I've never experienced before, and the place I work at has significant damages. College around here is supposed to be postponed until mid-September. People are pissed because the lack of preparation done prior to Harvey, and even our mayor said not to evacuate and even not to bother preparing at all. Now a large portion of the nations third largest city is underwater, and we've got a few days left of this before it ends, apparently. Power's been going on and off all week, but it at least it isn't as bad as Hurricane Ike where I went 10 days without power. However, the situation is a lot worse for hundreds of other people.
