| greatest American acts
I thought that America was way too underrep'ed during the greartest American "band" list, so I desided to make it the greatest American ACTS to include everybody.
list is my tops, | | 6 | | Johnny Cash The Fabulous Johnny Cash
Look up the word American in the dictionary and it will be a picture of JR Cash | | 5 | | Bruce Springsteen The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle
early Springsteen is magnificent, as like most acts the 80's happened to him, but rebounded and still produces great music. | | 4 | | The Stooges The Stooges
My only issue with them is really only 3 albums, I love bands with a huge catalog | | 3 | | Frank Zappa The Grand Wazoo
Just as influential of the first 2, I love bands that go for it, and are not afraid to do something different from album to album. | | 2 | | Grateful Dead Workingman's Dead
Anybody who knows me know my thoughts on this dynamic group, I urge anybody to check them out, their rep proceeds them in very bad ways, mostly from their lame fans, who give them a bad name. | | 1 | | Bob Dylan The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
Can't really deny that Bob had probably the greatest impact on music of anybody ever, or just in my own mind. | |

07.09.17 | just a starting point Boney, I think the list could go on and on in this format, came from the top of my head last night, and I live in the 70's
more could be armstrong, willie nelson, miles, ornette coleman, elvis, t bone walker, jelly roll morton, count basie, artie shaw, flatts and shruggs, run dmc, public enemy, the big bopper, all very influential american acts genre defining even, but most of these I do not think of when I think of great american acts, well elvis I do | JamieTwort
