Coming back from a Daughters concert sparked me looking back at all the concerts I've been to. Here's my top 5 | 1 | | The Cure Bloodflowers
Of course the band that got me into music would be the greatest live experience I've had. The Twilight Sad opened for them and certainly would've been a great show in their own right but when the cure came on and played pretty much any song I could've asked for was glorious. From the bleak sound of A Strange Day to the easy going sound of Out of This World, the sheer joy of just like heaven and the high of High. Seeing the Cure is something I think I'll look back on as a reason I love seeing live music. | 2 | | As I Lay Dying The Powerless Rise
Whatever you think of the band, there's nothing like your first live show and I was excited to see these guys as where I lived in I had little opportunity to see any bands at all. Before Tim tried killing his wife he was actually an amazing vocalist. (he still might be but it's not like people will look at him the same way) playing hits like anodyne sea, confined, through struggle, forever, an ocean between us and many more I remember coming out of the show awestruck. I may not listen to the band much anymore but I'll always remember the show. | 3 | | Daughters Daughters
They played a new song so anything else was just gravy babee. I just got back from this show so I might be biased or forgetting something but these guys were so much fucking fun. The crowd was great, the band members were energetic and friendly and I've never seen a man eat his own shirt off his chest before now. It also helps that they got to play 80% of their songs. | 4 | | Chelsea Wolfe Abyss
I saw her two years ago when abyss came out and she honestly sounds as good live than on her records. Better than actually. Something should be said about her music where I can feel alone in a crowded group of people. | 5 | | Dance Gavin Dance Happiness
It also helps that they were on tour with A Lot Like Birds and Slaves so Jonny and Kurt came out and sang their songs as well. It was their tenth anniversary and I honestly don't think I'll get a chance to see them all together like this again. Strawberry girls opened too I almost forgot. The guitarist played a song off death star. It was a blast. | |

06.04.17 | @calmrose they're in DC tomorrow. They also said they'll be touring again real soon so keep an open ear. Jealous of you seeing CoC too btw
@steak it really was a great show. My description doesn't do it justice. That parkway drive show sounds great
@dewinged Def try to cop a show her next tour and grats | SteakByrnes
06.04.17 | The Parkway Drive show was insane, they are fantastic live haha. And when The Word Alive played there was a huge wall of death, and the vocalist Telle Smith did a backflip during one of the songs.
That DGD show was awesome, when Kurt came to play with DGD they played Carl Barker and it made me so goddamn happy because that's my favorite song of theirs | Feather
06.04.17 | Carl Barker is a fucking jam, god I wish I had gone to that tour, sounds amazing |
