starboystargirl 04.19.17	You absolutely need to hear Viva Emptiness. Personally, it's my fav next to The Great Cold Distance. Both albums are similar, but also very different. You'll know what I mean when you hear it. Also, great list. I'd add in Tonight's Decision, Last Fair Deal Gone Down, and Discouraged ones to your queue. I've always hated Dance of December Souls.

AcmeApathyAmok 04.19.17	Yeah, if I had to narrow down to three essential Katatonia albums it'd be Brave Murder Day, Last Fair Deal Gone Down and The Great Cold Distance. But everything album you haven't listened to yet (BMD through Viva Emptiness) is nothing short of great IMO.
Dedes 04.21.17	Update-The Katatonia concert was the best concert i've ever been to (Caspian and Uncured opened up for them as well and both were incredible. Check our Uncured when you can because their guitarist and vocalist are both like 18 but they play like fucking virtuoso's.)

Dedes 04.21.17	Actually listening to that right at this moment. I never got the hate for Dead End Kings. Katatonia doesn't change heavily stylistically between albums (aside from their first two obviously) but Dead End Kings is a lot like all the shit they've done recently. I'd say Fall of Hearts is a step above Dead End Kings still though.

AcmeApathyAmok 04.21.17	I could understand why DEK disappointed a few fans but I didn't thought it was anything worse than good/ok at all. Actually, I thought it was great.

AcmeApathyAmok 04.22.17	Uncured had a different guy on drums when I saw them last night. I should know cause the drummer I saw definitely didn't look like Portnoy's kin at all, lol. I believe Portnoy's son was a session member or a guest musician only.
