Stop wasting time asking yourself rethorical questions and look for a psychiatrist. Either you indeed have anxiety and need a treatment, either you don't and you need a psychologist to get over those irrationnal fears. |

04.10.17 | anxiety like this is usually very irrational
try to trace back the pattern of events//thoughts//behaviors that are leading to this swell of anxiety. try to uncover what this maladaptive 'disastrous' thought(s) you have in your head is, and try to undermine and supplant it; like ok if i just follow the directions there's *no way* i can break the machine; even if my project sucks ass it's not the end of the world and i can probably still receive a good grade in the class, etc. etc. |

04.10.17 | Sounds like you suffered a minor panic attack (from personal experience). I'm not trying to be overly pessimistic here but positive/rational self-talk and trying to suppress your anxiety can be pretty fruitless and just prolong the episodes . definitely worth seeking professional help either way. |

04.10.17 | Talk to your school counselor asap. You can learn to deal with the anxiety in the long run, but the more immediate problem is will the anxiety cause an accident where you injure yourself or someone else in a class like that. They need to transfer you out of that class. |

04.10.17 | Unfortunately there's only around a bit over a month left so being switched out is extremely unlikely. I'm just going to try a bunch of natural remedies and if that doesn't work i'll see someone. Honestly though this made me feel better, just talking about it. Thank you all. |

04.10.17 | i've been in your same position several times. hang in there bud. i know it's easier said than done but it's possible to mentally navigate your way out of these sudden anxiety attacks, it will just take time and effort. you will have to disentangle a lot of these faulty // maladaptive thought patterns and do some retooling. have faith |

nah, dont wait. the worse it gets the harder it will be to reverse all of that. seeking help for it doesnt necessarily mean youll have to take meds for it either. try to get into a DBT class. those have been proven to help people with anxiety. they teach you to retrain your brain. |

04.10.17 | also, if by natural remedies you mean like supplements and shit like that, its not gonna work. theres no evidence out there suggesting any of those things help anxiety (or much of anything at all). though eating well and getting exercise will definitely help. |

04.10.17 | About 2 years ago i majorly changed my health habits and it helped me out a lot. I started exercising taking a good multi-vitamin/probiotic, and eating organic/drinking water, and my anxiety was drastically reduced .
I'm in now way saying that this will be the "cure" for you, and honestly you should still probably talk to your counselor or something, but I really believe making strides to just take overall better care of yourself can make a big impact on how you feel mentally and physically. |

04.10.17 | Yeah, I get exercise and I feel MUCH calmer after working out but my diet is shit lol. I heard that stuff like drinking tea even kind of helps but again i'll have to see. Also thank you hal1ax :) Really brought my mood up there |

04.10.17 | just try not to fall into the trap of smoking ganja to quell your anxiety coz it will most likely do the opposite in the long run. It even triggered a few panic attacks in my case . of course everybody reacts differently but just my advice idk whether you already smoke or even consider it |

04.10.17 | OK. Whatever you do, if you eff up a project, it's no big deal in the course of your life, much as it might suck for now. Just be careful not to let your anxiety make you slip up and hurt someone (yourself included). If you have to, bail on the class for a little and take some breaths. |
