Top 10 Cradle of Filth songs
Been playing the hell out of Hammer of the Witches lately, potentially their second greatest album next to Midian imo. What are your favorite songs/albums? (also, this is only semi-ordered, really only the top 2 are actually in order, the rest are a culmination of favorites. |
| 1 | | Cradle of Filth Midian
1-Her Ghost in the Fog. Yeah I know, what a shock. Really though Dani Filth is an absolute beast off this song and this song alone has one of the catchiest riffs in their whole careers. |
| 2 | | Cradle of Filth Hammer of the Witches
2-Yours Immortally. Dani is so reinvigorated off this album, and this may potentially be the most energetic song they've created. |
| 3 | | Cradle of Filth Midian
3-Satanic Mantra. So honestly, I get that this isn't even a real song, but it's probably one of my favorite interlude tracks of all time. It's pretty sweet. |
| 4 | | Cradle of Filth Hammer of the Witches
4-Enshrined in Crematoria. Theirs some damn good solos and riffs here, but that's just all of Hammer of the Witches isn't it? |
| 5 | | Cradle of Filth Nymphetamine
5-Nymphetamine Fix. I get some people loath the direction the band took, which was admittedly a large drop in quality, but the female leads here are beautiful, and this may be the strongest track of the mid-era of Cradle of Filth. |
| 6 | | Cradle of Filth The Principle of Evil Made Flesh
6-The Principles of Evil Made Flesh. Cradle of Filth was much more Lo-Fi and raw here but fuck they sounded sinister. |
| 7 | | Cradle of Filth Midian
7-Cthulu Dawn. This sets the theme for the perfect goth metal album so damn well, really badass introduction. |
| 8 | | Cradle of Filth Vempire or Dark Fairytales in Phallustei
8-Queen of Winter, Throned. I can't say anything about this that hasn't been stated earlier, just an awesome culmination of the best of Filth. |
| 9 | | Cradle of Filth Hammer of the Witches
9-Right Side of the Garden Triptych. If it sounds like I like this album too much I probably do. |
| 10 | | Cradle of Filth Dusk and Her Embrace
10-Heaven Torn Asunder. This is the perfect transition between goth and really traditional black metal. Maybe not their best song or album as a whole but its importance cannot be undermined. |
