Hello Sputnik! As some of you may have noticed, I haven't been around these past couple weeks, as I was on vacation and had limited Internet. I'm sure you all missed me dearly. I was able to check the site around once a day most days, but I didn't post anything, making it by far the longest time I've gone without participating in a discussion here since my first month or two on this site. It was kind of strange to view the site as a lurker again during those few times I did get on, especially since before that brief hiatus I had been posting more frequently than ever before. Being away has made me think about how, for better or worse, at the current moment this site is actually a pretty significant part of my life, and (especially after seeing some hints that there was some tension in the community while I was gone) I just wanted to say that all you crazy people are great.

So all that said, what were the major highlights of Sputnik of the past few weeks? Any laughably ridiculous conversations/arguments? Any top-notch lists I should check out? And (dare I ask?) what was up with that massive State Of Sputnik list conversation I saw?
