I just saw Bjork

Shit, homie. Might be the best concert I've ever been to

Post

Björk is a big part of why I came to Iceland in the first place. Tonight, I was lucky enough to see her perform in her hometown of Reykjavík. Damn, was it a special show. Emotional, dark, intense, and beautiful. I was shocked that someone with a voice so powerful turned out to be such a small person, swaying and dancing around the stage

Homogenic

She played 'Bachelorette' and 'Jóga', two of my absolute favourites
3Bjork
Vulnicura

Every song from Vulnicura hit twice as hard as they did on CD

Vespertine

I thought with only strings onstage, we were in for a more ethereal set. Surely she'd wrap up with one of her majestic closing tracks, like 'Unison' or 'All is Full of Love.' Nei! She ended with an incendiary rendition of 'Pluto', its stuttering electronics replaced by violins straight out of a horror soundtrack. I'm actually glad she left us with such frayed nerves. It reminded me her music isn't just pretty, but dark and angry too
