11.06.16 | I liked where you were taking the last one in a bit more ambient a direction, this song just kind of seems indecipherable from every other "get the crowd pumped" bass drop anthem ever |

11.06.16 | @porcupine: You're gonna like Chapter 2 of the EP series far more then, that one is incredibly similar to Void. Chapter 1 is mostly bouncy tracks like this new one. |

TheSpirit
11.06.16 | Honestly super like how dance-y this is, good job. It's pretty typical dance/edm (?, not too great with electronic categories tbh), but it's really catchy. |
Sinternet
11.06.16 | alright i gave it a listen, as someone who follows this style more than pretty much anybody around here i'll give you some feedback
the elements of the track are good, there's a solid (if a little generic) idea behind it, but as with your last track you still need to work on making the mix sound more full, the bassline is too quiet in the drop, and overall a lot of the song doesn't quite hit all the frequencies. I think the buildup from 2:15-2:50 was really good actually. The clap is way too loud and i think you should use a more dancey one as well. A bit too much white noise used i think, so you should tone that down a bit. Kick should be a lot harder/punchier. Section from 1:06-1:12 is really strange - either needs to be extended or cut, seems like you just added an idea in between a natural buildup and the drop, which could work but you need to buildup again on this break, i'm not sure what the vocal(?) is either. Intro before the melody comes in should be slightly longer too. Apart from that overall structure is good. In terms of sound design i'll find some tracks in a sec that you could do well to analyse and emulate their sound design, take a look at how they buildup as well.Anyway I think is an excellent start for a track, if you were to iron out those flaws i could see a label picking it up if you were to submit it on it's own.
Genre is progressive house btw for anyone wondering. |

take a look at these with their sound design and how they hit a wider range of frequencies, and how they're structured, if you try and emulate their elements in your own track it could be fantastic. Also if you do that i would seriously consider keeping the track as a seperate thing and sending it off to labels. |

11.06.16 | @Titan: Thank you! I'm honestly really happy to hear that.
@FullofSounds: Thank you!
@Vaxxi: Thanks lol, I'm not going to release any of the EPs until all four of the EPs are done, because I'm releasing one EP per week with this series, so it more than likely won't be until 2017.
@TheSpirit: Thank you! I was aiming for that, I've never really made a straight up dance-y track before, I've always tried to go for some kinda theme but for this I just straight up wanted to make something super catchy and fun.
@Sinternet: Holy shit, seriously thank you for the advice. Is the clap too loud throughout the entire song or just in the previous portion. The vocal part is just me saying "They say no-one ever sleeps, in the city of the night" with a resonant filter added to make it not stand out as much, but I feel I should have mixed it just a bit louder. I'll give all of those links a listen.
@owen: Thank you for the link! |
TheTripP
11.07.16 | The mixing from 01:05 to 01:13 sounds really off, do you use a metronome to keep your beats in rhythm (if that's how it works)? And some parts sound louder than others where it affects the all around listen, but other than that best song i've heard from you yet. Take your time with this shit and I bet you could really make some great stuff! |
DungeonBoy
11.07.16 | "1:05 to 01:13 sounds really off" I thought this was an interesting effect, and it gets right back on beat (at least it did with my counting) with the first part when it comes back in.
"And some parts sound louder than others" Yes. This is not pleasant to the ears. It occurs with that synth lead part from 1:13-1:43. It's not that it's loud, it pumps in a bad way. it's like:
na na na na NEE NEE na na na na na na NEE NEE na na..
But cool stuff man! This sounds better to me than your last experimental album you did. I don't listen to much electronic music, but this sounds like it could be played at a club. I think the claps sound fine.
Good job! |
uhh
11.07.16 | I could see the kids that wear their razor headphones to my school digging this yea |

11.07.16 | I'm making a second version of this song and removing the section that's on 1:05 to 1:13 and having a featuring vocalist in the verses. So Hopefully you guys might enjoy that a bit more. |
