| Ashcrash's First Live Show...
...with a band, name still TBD. Until this summer, I hadn't been in a "band" since elementary school, and that one didn't really count. I'd previously played a few songs acoustically at open mics and such, but this was my first "real" live show with a band. Nothing flashy, nothing original, just some solid indie tunes for a Halloween weekend show at my campus' coffeehouse. To my dismay, I woke up with a stomach bug this morning (think I ate something nasty yesterday) and had to rest all day just so I'd have whatever energy I could muster for the show. Thankfully, the crowd seemed to like it. I'm not sure I've ever felt this emotionally pleased yet physically drained before. If anyone there took photos/audio/video, I'll upload it here in the coming days. Until then, that's one thing off my bucket list and hopefully just the start of many more to come. as far as our own songwriting goes, we were (still kinda are) instrumentally-based and math rock-y, so for the first few months, I was just a guitarist. About a month ago, unprompted, my bandmates heard my solo stuff and they were like "ok, we're re-writing parts now because you NEED to do vocals" which was like, super humbling | 24gadjet
