I think I actually did watch Army of Darkness once when I was younger. Since I didn't know it was part of a franchise, I was fucking confused. It was still weirdly enjoyable though.

Also, a lot of people never remember that Alien is a true horror movie, just based in Sci-Fi so you get more props in addition to the props already given lol

Army of Darkness has like no horror in it lol

The atmosphere and build of House of the Devil was one of the best I've experienced in years. Rosemary's Baby, is a classic, love the atmosphere in that one too, but I think it has a lot to do with when it was made. Kinda like the Omen.. anyways, cool list dude.

Egarran 10.26.16	I liked Babadook. It does the horror aspects really well, but I understand if the super annoying kid turns people off. The Conjuring and The Orphanage are very good too. Prince of Darkness is great fun. That Alice Cooper cameo.

It's basically just a short and crazy bridge between Evil Dead and Army of Darkness. On its own Evil Dead 2 is lacklustre, it may as well have been tacked on the front of Army of Darkness.

I am a fan of art films and all, but goddamn that was unsatisfying and awkward imo. I know a lot of people loved it, but I only really loved the first two acts. @DungeonBoy - Prince of Darkness is pretty cool, but I don't think it's scarier than ITMOM, Halloween or The Thing. Still, good movie. And I haven't seen American Werewolf since forever, downloading now! The Conjuring was awesome, but I actually prefer the sequel. That was one of the best horror movies of this past year.

I think that the second one is equally creative, just in a very different way, but I totally understand why one would greatly prefer the first one to the second or vice versa. And I MUCH prefer the cross between insane horror and slapstick to the completely over the top Army of Darkness action comedy. Don't get me wrong, I love Army, but I think the first two are vastly superior.

And the insanely inconsistent rules to that universe, to the point of there barely being rules. But the score (which I have on vinyl now), cinematography, scare scenes, random time pieces, etc were all fantastic. I just wish the last 20 minutes were different. It's pretty similar to how I feel about the Babadook - whole movie ruled except for the third act.

It's kind of weirdly set up and I'm not quite sure why they thought it would work, but whatever, I still enjoy it. And once again, I (and many others) are still wildly unclear to the rules of that universe. Still a solid 8/10 though, that movie is awesome and worth the blu-ray purchase. Drag Me To Hell was originally my #30 until someone reminded me of House of the Devil and the Evil Dead remake. You're going to kill me, but I don't remember Cabin in the Woods. I watched it with my friends after eating a pot brownie that was too powerful and my recollection of that film is basically nothing.

And I saw Cabin in the Woods again today, it was good but I didn't think it was amazing. Maybe it was too hyped for me. Also, Eraserhead is creepy but I wouldn't call it horror. Aliens is partially horror, but I just always pretty much considered it an action movie. If it is horror, it didn't scare me like the first one but it's still one of my favorite movies of all time. As for "the dead" trilogy, I used to like Night more than Dawn, but time has changed that. Still relatively close, though. I watched Day again recently and it's not as good as I remember it being, but it's still not the worst movie ever. Wicker Man is creepy, yeah. And Possession is also creepy, but neither would make it above any of these movies imo. Jacob's Ladder is closer. Videodrome is very interesting, but I guess I also never thought of that as a horror film either. And I've never seen The Cremator, but I will check tonight probably. On a horror binge all week.

I've loved all of the Insidious movies and if we're talking love for James Wan, you should also check out Lights Out that came out this year. He didn''t direct but he had involvement. That movie was sick. Aliens I would definitely agree is more of an action movie. Cabin In The Woods was brilliantly original and an ode to tons of horror movies. It Follows is one of my favorite recent horrors next to pretty much everything James Wan has done. Lastly, Drag Me To Hell was disgusting, scary and hilarious all at once. I don't care for Raimi's disgusting scenes like he does for The Evil Dead, but Drag Me To Hell was so good I didn't care.

V/H/S had no theme really besides supernatural? They were all so random that it both felt cool that each had it's own segregated plot but at the same time not all the plots were strong. Had some good titties in it tho! lol

StarsDie 11.02.16	Nice list. I'd add Saw, Cube, Bug, Cabin in the Woods, Event Horizon, Cape Fear (both), Seven... And I can't recommend these two enough: Angel Heart (1987) and Dead Alive (1992). Angel Heart has a twist that you can probably see from a mile away, but the atmosphere, acting and cinematography is on-point. Dead Alive is probably the goriest hollywood movie in existence hands down. I'm unaware of anything crazier than that one. But it's definitely comedic and campy which dampens the "horror" aspect a bit. Still brilliant watching such extreme levels of depravity.

Frontiers was a great time but I actually haven't seen Livid so I guess I'll have to check that out next. Yeah, High Tension is good, but I am not as obsessed as some other people are. I avoided Frontiers for the longest time because nazis and torture films are a bit whatever to me but it was actually a really gripping one with some really intense scenes. The Loved Ones is one of my all time sleeper hits, it's so fucking good, I watch it every Halloween. Sleep Tight is genius but really disturbing so get ready. High Tension is overrated but I still think it's really cool. Some of my fav kills in that one, so damn vicious. Cheers dude

Middle18 10.02.17	Two of the best horror films ive seen recently and prob top 20 of all time are Dont Breathe and the Autopsy of Jane Doe. Im a long time horror fan and they are terrifying. Also suprised no one has mentioned Candyman.
