I get why they had to do it (first movie since the prequels, had to reassure the audience, get them used to the new world, etc) so I don't fault the movie, but I have a feeling it will end up being my least favorite in the new trilogy since it didn't really have as much of an identity as I feel the future films will. His comically high healing factor has some cool things the writers can do with it, his use of conventional firearms in a world full of people with eye-beams and weather control powers is fun, and he cracks jokes in-character without breaking the fourth wall. He starts to get cringy with the pop-culture shtick after a while though, and unfortunately the annoying Deadpool fans focus on this facet of him instead of him as a whole.

Logan's trailer was beautiful but I know it's going to be very loosely based on the graphic novel Old Man Logan. I mean all the main characters from the novel are owned by Marvel. And Fox doesn't have rights to that. So, that leaves you with Logan is older, healing powers have become dismal and some additonal spoilery things that can still happen. I never read the comic series that followed the graphic novel so luckily there's a lot of interesting material they can use I don't know about, including X-23. IT'S ALSO RATED R so hopefully he can really portray how aggressively fucking savage he can be. They tried to tease that cameo in Apocalypse as "animalistic" so much, but it was pretty friggin bland and really unecessary.

Impervious 10.21.16	Deadpool was meant to introduce the character of Wade Wilson turning into Deadpool and tell the audience about his quirks (fourthwall breaking etc.) before and after Weapon X. The plot was simple, but it was all that it needed to be to bring in a large audience and learn about him. Remember, this is a character Fox has been avoiding for years because of that hardcore fuck up Origins was. Fox was not going to release a movie that didn't play safe in some regards which I'm still grateful for because they still let it be Rated R. It was a bold move, Cotton. Now that the intro into the universe has been done, you have enough to build on the better parts of Deadpool in future sequels without all that intro shit, which is his deep hatred for himself, sardonic humour and manic personality.

I've heard it's pretty much the best version of Deadpool there is and it's one of Rick's greatest works. Honestly, I think you're right. Now is the time to retire all of the X-Men movies and just build up the X-Force. They fixed the universe with Days Of Future Past but after Apocalypse being meh, they might as well use Cable's time manipulation to grab what they want from it, get some awesome writers, and build a universe that will just demolish what we've had until now.

I'm more of a Marvel fan than a DC because DC seems to really only have Batman and his rouges gallery but I loved Man Of Steel for as much as I hate Superman. But BvS and Suicide Squad were complete messes, the latter being one of the worst things i've seen. All their trailers look bomb as fuck though which makes me so sad because I want DC to be as enjoyable. Wonder Woman looks awesome even though it seems like an exact copy of Captain America. I'm probably gonna go see it.

BUT I'm not a big fan of either companies live action movies... neither has put out anything that has blown me away yet. That being said, although Marvel is more consistently decent at this point, I like the tone of DC movies far better. They have had a clearly incredibly rocky start with some extremely questionable choices, but they have some undeniable potential thanks to some amazing imagery, textures, and casting choices that Marvel doesn't have for me. Marvel films are just so much more light-hearted that they run far less risks than DC does (which has worked out for them clearly) but at the same time, with less risk comes less reward (and also less bitter complete disappointment). So when DC fucks up its wayyyy more critical, but the things they do do right are much more satisfying. Like Ben Affleck as Batman made me infinitely more stoked than anything that has ever happened in a Marvel film for instance. But again. still waiting for either studio to do something thats actually amazing. outside of the live films tho I prefer DC. Better animated films and better villains. and a Hero is only as good as his villains imo. I have almost a complete lack of interest in the large majority of non 'X' related heroes in the Marvel universe. In fact I think most of them are genuinely terrible awful no good people. And most of their villains suck. and the MCU doesnt have the rights to most of the actual good characters because they are 90% mutants, a group who are slowly being phased out of the comics anyways. That being said X-men have amazing characters and amazing villains. I love X-men but thats not enough to say I love Marvel as a whole. I also love spider-man and his villains and also Doom is the shit. Otherwise pretty much all the avengers are the worst ever of all time.

For the majority of everything done since the first Iron Man starting off the MCU, the grand majority of movies have been enjoyable aside from some meh's like Ant-Man, first Captain America and Thor movies. I've really liked everything else that's come out. Marvel is definitely on the more lighthearted side of things which I agree isn't as entertaining but they always develop their characters well while DC is sloppily rushing it's ass off to bring an Avengers instead of building their universe. The thing I was the most excited about BvS was the dark themes and the question of man vs God. But that turned in a shitshow. DC trailers > DC movies :(

THEN, get him right where he wants him, aims the spear and stops when Supes says a name that means fucking nothing to him and this ladies and gentlemen, is the money shot. Supes says his mother's first name (I would never!), much less to a stranger that just beat him up. And this baffles Batty so much gets angry with the "WHO IS SHE?! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!?! I think the biggest most obvious issue with Suicide Squad was the fact that they completely misinterpreted the source material. They went out to make this big end of the world blockbuster banger when that is entirely irrelevant to Suicide Squad. The actual main antagonist in Suicide Squad has always been the characters themselves, they are on a new trivial mission almost every single issue against irrelevant characters doing stupid shit no one cares about. It has always been about the characters interactions along the way, never the actual mission itself. The movie made the mission this big important thing and the end game of the entire film when it should have been ultimately inconsequential. They should have made the mission some off the grid sketchy government bullshit infiltration that ultimately is completely and utterly botched and serves no purpose other than to steer the characters towards their great interactions, development, and psyche revelations. it should have been an anti-superhero movie not a superhero movie with anti-heroes. also joker should have a) been in the film way more and been a huge focal point like the Suicide Squad comic arch when leather-face joker comes back and terrorizes Harley during Death of the Family or b) not been in the film at all aside from being a clear motivator in Harleys development Enchantress should not have been in the film either they literally should have been deployed to fucking afghanastan where they fuck up some kind of mission to infiltrate some weapons program or something and then nobody ever knows anything was ever even happening.

Jared Leto didn't have many scenes to show off exactly (in the theatrical cut), but I really didn't care for his overly creepy mouthbreathing gangster Joker. I was fine with the tattoos for the most part (but some are hilariously ghetto) and even though they explained NOTHING in the movie as to why he had the "grillz" (another gigantic issue I have with the movie), I really liked his look. Everyone else had minimal roles to even play or otherwise didn't have anything to seem impressive. The writing was fucked and the editing was further decimated when they tried to make a bunch of backwards ass changes after the reviews for BvS came out. They also changed up their "soundtrack" to mirror the success of Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy which was poorly done and very out of place.

Not like it will save the movie from the utter trainwreck it turned out to be. All these extended editions are not helping DC so they better stop and keep the crucial info in the theatrical cuts.

The HAHAHAHA on his left peck/shoulder influenced a big piece of my tattoo I got a year ago actually. It looks really cool and fits the character of the Joker, but some just make me laugh like "joker" written across his stomach and the J under his eye. It's so ghetto and prison esque. Once again though, I'm willing to accept that and look past it because of what the director explained happened to him and it makes a ton more sense. Especially the "grillz". That was the greatest idea I had heard for the DC movie universe besides using Superman's fight in Metropolis as fuel for Batman's rage. It was actually fucking brilliant altogether.

Also, Ian McKellen is fucking badass as Magneto which I think is why they stuck with him so long as they've kept to Wolverine. And I'm with zaruyache, they were all supposed to be a large saga. Of course, those fucking assholes ruined everything once they decided to abandon Singer's six movie project and do whatever they want and then up the ante and fuck us in the claws with an OG Wolverine movie no one wanted. Wish I could pretend that shit never happened..... Also, Quicksilver was one of the most enjoyable scenes in Days Of Future Past so they tried to do it again but ended up rehashing so much. I wasn't as much of a fan the second time. Sidenote: it took them like 56 days or something like that just to shoot that scene which is pretty incredible all things considered.

She was interesting because you could never predict whether or not she will kill somebody or whether or not she was with Matt or with herself. Matt's interactions with her were good because you can see that he was struggling to keep her on the "good side", and you can see he cared about her, but she was just too much. She couldn't really change.

Here's this dude with massive strength and abilities, yet no matter what the bad just gets his hand on either of those two things and then it's suddenly it's the end of the world until Superman just overcomes it anyways. Lameeeeeeeeeeeee. That's why I loved Man Of Steel. Kryptonite wasn't part of the equation yet and Lane wasn't just pointlessly in the way and always in distress the whole fucking movie. The fights were fucking epic in Smallville (the closest iteration of what I want in a live action Dragonball Z movie), Superman wasn't a total bitch, and the way they did how he adapted to Earth vs Zod from Krypton was actually a really interesting way to balance the two fighting each other.
