Friday The 13th Ranked

SPOILERS FOR PART 1 (not that it really matters...)
12Hot Action Cop
Hot Action Cop

Freddy V Jason

I genuinely despise this movie, it's such a ridiculous diservice to the characters, the super edgy Post-grunge vibes, the shitty acting, it plays out like a Juggalo's wet dream and it's really hard to watch... maybe i'm being too cynical, but there are no redeeming qualities to this movie for me.

Letting Go

Friday The 13th Jason Goes To Hell

I love the design of jason before he turns into a demonic slug parasite, but aside from that this movie is garbage. Leave the magical daggers and evil slugs out of my murderous zombie movie.
10Alice in Chains
Dirt

Friday The 13th Part V

I don't know why i dislike this one so much, maybe it's the lack of Jason, the setting, and the overall vibe feeling off. But it's a genuine shame, there's an entertaining slasher beneath all of the garbage.
9Faith No More
The Real Thing

JASON X

This movie would be wonderful if it didn't take itself so seriously. The premise is so bonkers and it has a fee memorable kills, but dear god this movie is terrible. Still nothing near that time the Leprachaun went to space... dear lord.

Friday The 13th Part VIII

obligatory Berserk reference about boats.
7Ducktails
St. Catherine

Friday The 13th (2009)

I honestly really enjoy this one. I think it takes itself too seriously for its own good, but it's quite brutal and entertaining for its duration. It's just really forgettable which is a shame because it has a lot of potential (not to be great, but to be a fun slasher)
6Disasterpeace
It Follows

Friday The 13th Part VII

The first appearance of Kane Hodder as Jason, aside from this there isn't much to note about this entry. I have no real problems with it but it's the least memorable in my opinion. I enjoy the battle at the end between Jason and Tina at the end, and some of the kills are SPECTACULAR (the sleeping bag) but beyond that there isn't much else.
5Darling Violetta
The Kill You EP

Friday The 13th Part III

Part 3 is one of the worst acted in the series, but i love the atmosphere, the kills, and the goofiness of it all. Part 3 also has one of my favorite versions of Jason. He looks very imposing (and awesome in the mask)
Fun fact: Adam Fisher's (ORBS, All Human, Fear Before) uncle Kevin played the biker who gets stabbed in the gut with a pitchfork.
4Culture Club
Colour by Numbers

Friday The 13th

Part 1 used to be my favorite, but after repeated viewings, it's lost the touch it originally had. While i think it's the most engaging storywise, and is quite suspenseful, i never found Pamela Voorhees to be very engaging as a slasher villain. However i found her reveal quite shocking when i first saw it.
3Chevelle
The North Corridor

Friday The 13th Part VI

Usually everyone's favorite in the series (from what i've seen) and justifiably so, it's the first Part to throw any shred of plausibility out the window, turning Jason into an unkillable monster. Part 6 has some of the best kills in the series, while not my favorite, i find myself returning frequently for some campy fun.
2True Widow
Circumambulation

Friday The 13th Part II

Another underrated entry in the series. Part 2 is the last "logical" entry where it was more grounded (which means nothing considering what the story entails) it manages to be genuinely suspenseful and has one of the most frightening portrayals of Jason imo. (The sack is a personal favorite)
1Chelsea Wolfe
Apokalypsis

Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter

My personal favorite in the franchise, with Crispin Glover hamming it up, the final showdown between Jason and Corey Feldman, and all of the fantastic death scenes. It gets unfairly overshadowed by part 6 in most cases. Part IV needs a Blu Ray release. Now.
