Snide 09.22.16	Andy Black - The Shadow Side The side project of my favorite vocalist. I had it at a 5 for a while, lowered it down to a 4, then back up to a 4.5 and it's stayed there ever since. The problem I have with it is that while tonally, and vocally it's everything I could ever want from an alternative rock record and more, it has some bonehead issues that make me unable to find it (such as shaky lyricism on a few songs, and some odd production choices)

Listening to it, while still wildly impressive, just isn't quite enough Bjork - Homogenic / Worthy of a 5 but Vespertine is so much better imo that I can't justify it That all being said, my 5.0s are pretty silly. My 4.5 list is an embarrassment. Gotta do some cleaning at some point.

elliootsmeuth 09.23.16	I understand why people don't like ratings, but I like the whole rating thing. Keeps stuff in order for me. I'll probably rate it a 4 most of the time, but it's nice just having a comprehensive catalog of albums I've listened to and what I've liked, what I haven't, and by how much. Again, I see why people dislike the whole rating thing, but I like the sort of motivation it gives me to revisit albums and such. I don't sweat what exactly something is rated and fuck objectivity.
