So thanks to everyone with honest recs. Muse is definitely a cool start and Brand New. As to everyone stating break up with the harlot I think people need to remember music is a matter of perspective and it's not a definitive way to represent a person. Also (a specific message to Trebor) you should at least be more mature as a staff reviewer. You make decent reviews but don't spur negativity this site is goddamn flooded with it. I can almost have a certain respect for Snide because while I would rather not get swallowed up by that drama hellhole he's kind and constructive. (Another note Menzingers fucking rule will definitely show her).

Maybe after a while, she'll want to crave "different" music from what she's used to, and you can introduce her to stuff like that. Judging by these records, she seems into modern rock music (very vague definition but about as accurate as I can get). Since there's some metal here, maybe branch her out to modern metal bands starting with accessible bands then try to "push the envelope" with stuff like metalcore or modern thrash/death. Alternative rock, hard rock, pop rock, and the like seem ideal as well, and if she really digs that, maybe show her older music of those genres. Considering your guy's age group, I guess start with the new then go to the old so to speak. That's my two cents.
