LotusFlower 09.04.16	all three parts are fully comprehensive games with different stories, characters, items, play styles, maps, ect. ect. ect. its ambitious, but its such an impossible and boring slog to get through because unlike Awakening, where its complete genericness and blandness was able to mask itself long enough for 30 chapters, you start to notice how barebones and dreadful the new style of FE games are when youre doing the same things over and over through over a hundred chapters. not to mention all the censoring in this game makes the game feel even more barren when you aren't even able to get the benefits your units need to play strategically because said items and mechanics were completely removed. complete waste of 80 dollars.

Now and days, however, especially when piling it on with their business moves that go beyond just the games they make, has turned them into a terrible company that makes it increasingly difficult to want to care about them anymore.

FullOfSounds 09.05.16	Just get the Wii version of Xenoblade. It's rare and expensive but you'd still be saving money. Hell I got lucky and found it at GameStop for 50-something bucks.

For me from best designs to worst designs so far it's Gen 3 > Gen 4 > Gen 2 > Gen 6 > Gen 7 > Gen 5 > Gen 1. 7's had some cool Pokemon revealed so far but nothing's really grabbed me, but it's mostly better than 5, and definitely better than 1 bar some of the only good classics of 1 (like Mewtwo and such)

Snide 09.05.16	Gen 3 had mad tropical vibes going, and most of the pokemon were just cool as all hell (Tropius, Manectric, Mightyena, Sharpedo, etc) the stylistic flair for me hasn't been matched by any generation yet. Gen 4 introduced my favorite Pokemon of all time (Darkrai) and added some of the coolest lore, legendaries, music, and locations to the series. Also, a lot of Pokemon had really cool type combinations. Gen 2 was everything Gen 1 should have been, the designs were still basic but were far better than 1. Also Celebi was introduced here so I've gotta give it up for that ya know. Gen 6 had some great Pokemon like Avalugg, Trevanent, and a few others that were just some really cool concepts, and I dug the experimentation. The mega evolutions were sweet too. Gen 7 so far has had some cool ones like Salandit and such, and I haven't been disappointed with any of the designs so far, the new Alolan forms are cool too. Gen 5 felt a bit filler-esque, but Zoroark, Hydregion, Kyurem and a few others that I love were introduced so I can forgive that. Gen 1 was way too basic, nothing really grabbed me bar Mewtwo, The Three Legendary Birds, Mew, Haunter, and a few others.
Frippertronics 09.05.16	kinda surprised it slightly blew up since I was simply looking for recs, but yeah cool shit that we got something going here BMal, basic designs aren't that bad if they're iconic and instantly recognizable. Gen 3 is probably the best in the series, design-wise. Gotta have in mind that the GB/GBC kinda limited what could be done with the designs. With the GBA, the designs were going to be far superior.
