More Studio Album CD Quests

They never end, but they always begin. Here's a list of financial recklessness.
1Cheap Trick
Heaven Tonight

9/17 (plus At Budokan). This is where I praise the Original Album Classics box sets for saving my poor ass. Nothing like a good old-fashioned set of power pop. Unless it's crap power pop. Guess it's time to find out.

Missing: The two '80s albums that got shat on (Standing on the Edge/The Doctor), everything post-1990/Busted.
2Teenage Fanclub
Grand Prix

6/10. More power pop, more box sets. The difference is Cheap Trick wasn't world famous, but at least they were world famous in Japan. A quiet consistent group that I don't shut up enough about and simultaneously don't mention enough. Sorry in advance, Sputnik. The Fanclub Fanclub is coming your way. Edit: Forgot to mention that it's very lucky it's a 6/10 at all, The King is super hard to come by anywhere.

Missing: The debut (A Catholic Education), everything post-2000/Howdy!
3Interpol
Antics

2/5. This has been in purgatory since 2014. Loved the first two albums and a few more singles, but never really had much incentive to complete the set. Guess that'll change at some point.

Missing: Everything post-2004/Antics.
4The Jesus and Mary Chain
Darklands

5/6, maybe 5/7 if the Reids finish that mythical post-reunion album they mentioned last year. Legacy-wise everything's screwed compared to the debut, music-wise everything I've listened to has its own merits. Psychocandy and Darklands are obviously great (I prefer Darklands, and my hearing), Stoned and Dethroned is an underdog, don't have much hope for Honey's Dead but Automatic might surprise me.

Missing: The album no one talks about (Munki.)
5The Replacements
Let It Be

2/7 (2/8 if we count the Stink EP). Read that Let It Be was a classic, bought Let It Be, thought Let It Be was a classic. Confirmation bias, ladies and gentlemen. Haven't touched Pleased to Meet Me yet, which is dumb on my end.

Missing: Albums #1-2, #4, #6-7.
6Belle and Sebastian
The Boy With the Arab Strap

1/9. Soft spoken, frail white people with understated wit and observational stories, probably picked up when Damon Albarn threw it on the ground in disgust and made 13. Don't know whether I'll flesh this out more or sell the CD and pick everything up haphazardly.

Missing: Everything except The Boy with the Arab Strap. Clearly.
