My Top 10 Prince Albums

A legend passed away today at age of 57. Prince was one of a kind and a very talented artist. Here are my top 10 favorite Prince records.
1Prince
Sign o' the Times

This is my favorite Prince album for many reasons. I love the artistic freedom, soul, production and atmosphere of this record. Sign o' the Times is an incredible release that truly shows how talented Prince really is. Songs like Play In The Sunshine, Adore, U Got The Look, Starfish and Coffee, The Ballad of Dorothy Parker and so much more, Sign o' the Times is so exceptional.
2Prince
Purple Rain

Purple Rain is considered to be his most successful record ever by a very popular movie, it went 13x platinum and was a huge hit among fans. Songs like When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, I Would Die 4 U, Let's Go Crazy, The Beautiful Ones are classics beyond belief. Purple Rain is a classic album that's fresh and outstanding.
3Prince
1999

Prince's first masterpiece. 1999 is a funky, soulful and poppy record that was made at the perfect time. It sounds new each time you listen to it. Songs like Little Red Corvette, 1999, Automatic, etc. Are prime examples of what a legend Prince is.
4Prince
Parade

Such a mystic listen. Prince isn't afraid to be himself, that's why so many people respect him. Parade is one of his best for the soulful and r&b atmosphere. It's quite superb.
5Prince
Around the World in a Day

This album has one of my favorite Prince songs. ''Raspberry Beret'' Around the World is a very fresh record and it still sounds great to this day. An album that shouldn't be ignored.
6Prince
Dirty Mind

Dirty Mind is where Prince finally finds his artistic talent. Dirty Mind is filled with memorable hooks and catchy songs. You can see the maturity and the creativity that Dirty Mind has.
7Prince
Controversy

Controversy is a very fun record, that is easy to get into. Songs like Sexuality, Conservatory, Jack U Off, etc. Proves that Prince wasn't afraid to be himself.
8Prince
Diamonds & Pearls

Diamonds & Pearls i believe was the best Prince album of the 90s. It's more mature but it still carries that swagger that Prince had in the 80s.
9Prince
Lovesexy

An interesting album that blends funk, soul, r&b and pop very nicely. I remember when i first Alphabet St. and i was hooked. This is a great listen for any music fan.
10Prince
The Black Album

One of Prince's most overlooked albums imo. I love the funky and soul vibe to this record that's very enjoyable.
