Immortal Ranked

Been really getting into Immortal lately, and I've finally made it all the way through their discography. So here's my attempt to rank the band's eight albums from worst to best.
8Immortal
Blizzard Beasts

This one's nowhere near as bad as is sometimes claimed. In fact, it's a decent album that is great in parts. But even so it's certainly Immortal's worst in my book.
7Immortal
All Shall Fall

A very solid and enjoyable comeback album, but not really as distinctive or memorable as many of the band's other works.
6Immortal
Battles in the North

I'd describe this as Immortal's most brutal and heavy release, and it's a pretty interesting addition to their discography. That being said, only a few songs on this one really stand out to me.
5Immortal
Damned In Black

A pretty underappreciated album in my opinion. While not as consistent as some of Immortal's best releases, the title track and a few other songs on here are absolute classics.
4Immortal
Sons of Northern Darkness

One of the band's most acclaimed works, and for good reason. Not much else to say about it.
3Immortal
Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism

My pick for the band's most underrated release. Great atmosphere, and The Call Of The Wintermoon is a strong contender for my favorite Immortal track.
2Immortal
Pure Holocaust

A near perfect example of the band's early sound, with many of their greatest songs.
1Immortal
At the Heart of Winter

The band's masterwork, an epic blend of black metal and prog. Easily one of my favorite albums within the genre.
