Maybe I'll go to the next prerelease and have some fun, maybe get back into it. I found out there's a shop literally behind where I live

Then if the set feels good from there I might try to get back into it. Fun hobby, I really miss it at times. I ran a mono black deck in RTR for all of 1 FNM then decided to splash red/white. Apparently there was a great mono black deck in Theros

The last game of "competitive" Magic I played was the last FNM before Theros, I remember opponent had lethal next turn and tapped out, I had nothing on the field but a Cryptghast. I stood from the table on my turn, said bonfire, flipped the top card and it was a bonfire. I miracled it for everything I had, plus the Ghast effect, I think I hit him for something like 30 and won the set off it. Good times, I don't think I can top it in Magic again, the whole shop was gathered around as we were the last game still going

Egarran 01.25.16	Playing since 96 when The Dark came out. Bad timing, but duals were still cheap. Mostly commander nowadays, and a prerelease once in a while.

Nazzadan 01.25.16	Yeah INN and INN+RTR had some pretty fucking brutal aggro decks. B/R had an insane zombie/vamp deck that revolved around Gravecrawler, Geralt's Messenger, Olivia Voldaren and Falkenwrath Aristocrats. That was such a fun meta, such brutal aggro that everyone had to at least splash green for Thragtusks to combat the burn.

evilford 01.26.16	I've never gotten commander tbh. maybe it's just cuz it's newer or I was brought up years and years before when 60-card decks were the normal thing, but it just feels weird playing a deck where you can only have one copy of each spell in it. the consistency of 60-card builds is one of the most exciting things about modern for me.

hal1ax 01.26.16	commander is just fun because it's so chaotic and random. 100 card deck with no duplicates except mana, it's just kind of an exciting format. A viable commander deck gets really expensive though. thats why i usually lose, cuz i made like the 'budget' commander deck. fucking turmogoyfs are like 100$ a pop

evilford 01.27.16	yeah, splinter twin + deceiver exarch/pestermite = turn 4 gotcha. basically you play exarch at the end of your opponent's 3rd turn, turn 4, slap splinter twin on exarch/pestermite, use it to create a copy of itself, when it comes into play you can untap the enchanted creature w/ splinter twin on it and do that infinite times for infinite guys w/ haste

evilford 01.27.16	if you want to look them up, they're pretty popular archetypes so you should be able to find a common decklist pretty easy, my main deck is Tron, which I actually foiled out last year before the prices on a lot of the cards spiked so I'm super happy about that, I think between the main deck and sideboard the value is like $3,200. anyways enough bragging on that, a lot of current tron lists run Ulamog, the ceaseless hunger and spellskite maindeck, which I do not. I don't run pyroclasm, and instead of those I run 3 platinum angels, 1 ulamog, the infinite gyre, 1 emrakul and 3 ugin, the spirit dragons. it's pretty fun. ugin is a fucking blast to play w/ my secondary deck is bots. most people call it affinity because it's slowly morphed from an archetype (back in Mirrodin block) that actually used a bunch of cards that had the affinity mechanic, to now where there are a lot of cards that were used then but none of them actually have affinity as a mechanic so I don't like to call it affinity, I just call it bots. anyways, I don't run ravagers like most lists, not a huge fan, also I don't run a full set of inkmoth nexuses (nexi?), just 2, but I replace ravager and galvanic blast w/ ensoul artifact and master of etherium. how could people not have 4 of a 2 cmc 5/5?? I'm also in the process of rebuilding hatebears, which isn't super competitive but I have a super soft spot for it

Normal people are afraid to acknowledge it. One of my favourite things to do is to get 4 people together, get high, listen to music and play magic until the sun comes up.

Flugmorph 03.07.16	So i lost one round 2-0 (against a pure counter deck), then won the next 2-0 against goblin aggro)a and then again lost the third 2-0 ( again against goblin aggro). After the first round i traded my regenerate deck for my splinterfright selfmill which is far more consistent.
