12.27.15 | Okay, let me explain one thing: There's a reason why Till doesn't sing "down to the bone" in Stripped: because he isn't able to sing/pronounce it properly. He isn't particularly gifted or something, and to be honest, that would be okay with me, since there's a fair share of mediocre but indivual sounding singers that get along nicely. But then, why cover a song that you can't even sing? Especially if you know that you can't? It's just dumb.
Also, the song-writing is bland. A lot of their stuff is basically mediocore disco pop with heavy guitars. Additionally, some of the lyrics are among the worst I've ever heard, but yeah, most people don't care for them for obvious reasons.
They have a certain sense of tempo/groove, so their overall music isn't completely terrible. But Stripped is just bad. And they should have known that and probably they do. |

12.27.15 | Well ok you don't have to make a big song and dance about it but I disagree on Till not being gifted. He has his own singing voice that a lot of metal singers don't have. It's just not your style Till sings more in a either opera or growly type voice. You can't say a song is bad because you don't like it when so many people out their do like it. Metal music isn't just screaming and yelling and having a high pitch chicken voice. Their not that mediocre since their are not many bands like them, compared to the many copy and past death metal bands out their. Thiers a reason why I like Tills voice, I'm really more into Deep volcals then high pitched and screaming or just your plane yelling that so many do. I do like Wayne Static voice because I feel it's unique in it's own way. But dude like I said different strokes not everyone is into the same thing or singer. |

12.27.15 | Okay, thanks for your understanding response, since that's not that common when it comes to internet talk ... but let me disagree two more times.
First, the fact that many people like a song doesn't prove that it isn't bad. There are a lot of songs that are just poorly written or poorly executed, yet there are people who like them. Think of some pop music if you like. I'm not trying to say that people shouldn't be allowed to like these songs, but that doesn't mean that they aren't poorly done. And in my opinion, Stripped is very poorly executed, especially considering the original version by Depeche Mode, which I really like.
Then, I'd like to disagree about the genre specification you made. The band isn't really metal, and the members themselves wouldn't consider it as such (as far as I remember they admitted that on some Wacken interview or something like that). I guess they're just industrial rock. I would even consider them to be some kind of heavy synth pop, but hey that's just me and I don't like them, so what do I know.
So, what I'm trying to say is that I don't think it's advisable to compare them to other metal bands. I'm a fan of melodic metal like Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Leprous, X Japan, something like that. So, especially considering the first named band, I don't have a problem with operatic vocals in metal/rock. It's just that I don't find Till to be a good singer at all, although he has his own style. |

12.27.15 | Well most people call them Neue Deutsche Härte which stands for New German Hardness anyway. That's find if you don't like the song or don't think is good. I'm just more into deep volcals. Doesn't mean I'll never get into some screamers it's not really my style these days. Like I so your into Dir En Grey which they sound ok to me but I'm not really into the singer. I really like their guitar riffs though, so hey maybe one day they might grow on me and I might make a top list about them. :) |

It can take a while, but then, when you get back to it and actually pay attention to what's happening, you'll find that there is so much to love about it, it's just rich in everything. That's how I experienced it at least. :) |

12.28.15 | Ok guys here s what I did. I switched Stripped with Mein Herz Brennt since it is a good song. and I removed Kuss Mich and but in Stripped, even though I do really like that song. Still everyone should be happy now it's on the list. Maybe not my top ten but it is a good song so I made sure it was high enough. |
