Thinking of Designing a board game

Been playing a lot of interesting board games lately and thought I could come up with a few neat ideas myself. Maybe even mix two of my favourite things, Board Games and Music. If anyone is interested is interested in brainstorming some ideas back forth, feel free to shoutbox me. Geeks of sputnik unite! List is some of my favourite games, and an album I feel is somewhat similar.
1Death
Scream Bloody Gore

Dead of Winter. Just played this for the first time the other day, and I'm hooked. A near perfect zombie survival board game.
2Alestorm
Captain Morgan's Revenge

Libertalia. A very fun, albeit somewhat simple, pirate themed game that I play regularly on BGA.
3Gentle Giant
The Power and the Glory

Cities and Knights of Catan. I've been playing the regular Settlers of Catan for several years now. This expansion adds the perfect amount of complexity to it to make it more strategic, yet easy for newcomers to catch on.
4The Devin Townsend Band
Accelerated Evolution

Through The Ages. Haven't played this too much yet, and the learning curve is relatively steep, but once you catch on, its quite in depth and entertaining. Getting destroyed by military is a pain in the ass though.
5Impaled
Mondo Medicale

Pandemic. I need to try the new pandemic game that came out this year, but until then I have this and the On The Brink expansion to keep me busy. Never had so much fun losing to a board.
6Renaissance
Scheherazade and Other Stories

Carcassonne. Another one of my most played games along with Catan. Simple tile placing game, that gets better with the Traders and Builders and Inns and Cathederals expansions.
7Amon Amarth
Twilight of the Thunder God

Lords of Waterdeep. Only played this twice, but it was really intriguing. Not too big of a learning curve, but there is oodles of strategy to be had, and this may be overwhelming at first.
8Extol
Undeceived

Coup. Really fast paced bluffing game that is incredibly addicting. Good to play with bad liars.
9Gaza
I Don't Care Where I Go When I Die

Small World. Interesting conquest based game. Skeletons are kinda op though.
10Queens of the Stone Age
Songs for the Deaf

Stone Age. Similar to lords of waterdeep, but a little more luck based and slightly less strategic
11Emerson Lake and Palmer
In the Hot Seat

Ticket to Ride. Only started playing this earlier this year. Got it for a gift on my bday. Incredibly fun, especially given how simple it is. The Europe version is pretty sweet too.
12Iron Maiden
Powerslave

7 wonders. Haven't played this too much, but it is pretty fun, and decently strategic.
13Camel
Mirage

Forbidden desert. Same maker as pandemic. Even harder than pandemic, with the board being built randomly before the game begins. Great replay value.
