Favorite album productions

Not always the best produced albums but those that elevate the music for me. Some of these albums I don't even particularly love. Alphabetical order except for Norah Jones which I forgot while doing the list. I probably have forgotten some too.
1As I Lay Dying
An Ocean Between Us

Nothing too fancy, just perfectly balanced and punchy.
2August Burns Red
Found in Far Away Places

Maybe a tad too much bass but otherwise it sounds massive.
3Avenged Sevenfold
City of Evil

Doesn't sound quite like anything else to me. There will always be something special and nostalgic about this drum sound and this guitar tone.
4Children of Bodom
Are You Dead Yet?

Still the best sounding Children of Bodom album yet.
5The Contortionist
Exoplanet

Huge and spacey yet not overproduced.
6David Maxim Micic
Bilo 3.0

So many elements coming together yet everything sounds so beautiful.
7Exotype
Exotype

As far as Risecore-type productions go this is one of the best ones.
8Lamb of God
Wrath

I love how Lamb of God sounds overall. Wrath to me though has the best balance between big-budget production and feeling ''live''.
9Periphery
Juggernaut: Alpha / Omega

The added bass presence in the mix really makes these albums hit harder than their two previous ones.
10Rage Against the Machine
Rage Against the Machine

As far as mixing goes this is pretty much flawless.
11Norah Jones
Come Away with Me

Similar to Rage Against The Machine. You can almost feel like the band is playing in the room with you it's pretty incredible.
12Rush
Moving Pictures

Their new stuff may sound a bit like shit (the infamous Vapor Trails), but they used to sound incredible.
13Tesseract
Polaris

Sometimes I put this on just because of how good it sounds. The first couple of minutes in Tourniquet in particular is something I use to show off how great my headphones are haha.
14Times of Grace
The Hymn of a Broken Man

The level of layers on this is sometimes pretty incredible when you pay attention. It still all sounds cohesive
15Trivium
Shogun

The guitar tone on this is probably my favorite I've heard.
16Volumes
Via

Again, balanced yet huge.
17Chelsea Grin
Ashes to Ashes

Just kidding this is probably the loudest, most messy production job I have ever heard.
