Skyrim was a pretty big mainstream success but F4 is somehow the most hyped game of the year across the board, you can't go to anything game related on social media without some twat posting "LMAO THIS GAME GONNA GET CRUSHED BY FALLOUT 4 BRUH, 100/100 TBH FAM"
That said, early reviews are coming out positive, the most critical one I've seen said it's better than 3 but not as good as NV which is a pretty decent review IMO. |

11.10.15 | One of the few nitpicks I have is when you enter a conversation the camera pans back and forth between all t the characters that are talking. I don't mind the voices protagonist and being called James really helps too but I'd really liked it if they managed to be able to keep everything in first perspective. Also since the main story is so rushed in the beginning I have really no incentive to go down the main quest. I get they want to get you into the actual but the build up is so short lived idc about my family. Playing in power armour is actually really cool this time around though. It isn't just a clothing option now. |

Shame indeed, though Skyrim received comparable critics when it was released, but it still was a good game. You can find some enjoyment if you manage to override the casual/safe side. It's a pity but now almost all AAA games are like so.

I am absolutely in love with this game so far, especially the enviroment. it is so varied and surprisingly colorful at times and there is just something new like every few minutes so far. In love. Also @Concubinary, there is an option to turn off the thing you're talking about, turn off 'dialogue camera' |

At that point I just cripple the legs, run away, and shoot missles at them to finish them. I think that makes the tanky enemies better to fight compared to games like borderlands |

The story is actually decent from what I've played so far (maybe three hours into the main story), I love how the power armor is used like a vehicle instead of an overpowered set of armor that can break the game, the modification system is easily the best and most customizable since Morrowind, and the settlement system is very satisfying (although clunky for building entire buildings). Also, the radiation storms are ridiculous. |

I wish that Bethesda would go all-in and make a RPG that gave you complete freedom in your role playing and didn't force you into the main story. FO4 does that just like all of Bethesda's other games, but it feels like there is a lot more freedom in this game than Skyrim. It doesn't feel dumbed down like Skyrim either.
