But really though I figure most people are complex enough to not define themselves by their music taste, it would likely have influence on your world view if you are into niche genres and hobbies but I think its a bad thing if you are defining your tastes in everything else based on one thing, there is such much out there to explore and expand your horizons into that one taste across other mediums just isn't going to give you the biggest or best picture for yourself. I definitely agree music can be very personal to people but I'm not really sure if it has an impact on personality, more likely if you associate yourself with the culture and people around the music is where it will really start to bleed into your personality rather than the music itself. |

Like if person A's favorite band was Circle Takes The Square and person B's was One Direction and you put the two in a room and said "talk about anything but music for 3 hours" I'd imagine there would be a difference in personality, not necessarily similarities but just how they acted/worded things.
