Brady Wins Appeal

Fuck Tom Brady. Fuck the Patriots. Fuck Roger Goodell. I hope he gets booed and heckled at every stadium he visits this year. Anyway, this list is recent albums I've had in heavy rotation for the last month or so. Can not wait for football.
1The Red Chord
Fused Together in Revolving Doors

I missed the boat on these guys and am making up for it now.

Digging: Dreaming in Dog Years, 16-Bit Fingerprint, Nihilist.
2Dr. Dre
Compton

Still not loving police.

Favorite tracks: Medicine Man, Genocide, It's All On Me, Talking to My Diary.
3Botanist
IV: Mandragora

I fucking love me some Botanist.

Jamming: Nightshade, Rhyncholaelia Glauca, To Amass and Army.
4Ratatat
Magnifique

I wish I liked this more, but I don't. I mostly jam three or four songs regularly.

Winners: Nightclub Amnesia, Cream on Chrome, Pricks of Brightness and Abrasive.
5Rivers of Nihil
Monarchy

Sand Baptism, Circles in the Sky, Suntold and Terrestria are cool.
Seriously just reminds me of Suneater, though.
6Foals
What Went Down

I also wish I liked this more. Still green, though. Hoping it will grow on me.

Digging: Mountain At My Gates, What Went Down and A Knife in the Ocean.
7Viet Cong
Viet Cong

I still play this often. May be up there as my AOTY. Every track is good. Some are stellar.

Best Tracks: I play this fucker straight through.
8Right Away, Great Captain!
The Church of the Good Thief

I took my annual trip to the Uintas (mountains in Utah) to camp and revisited this album as a tradition.
Couple this classic with some lapsang tea and a pinner in the morning and it doesn't get much better.

Best Tracks: Fur Stop Caring, Barely Bit Me, We Were Made Out of Lightning, I Am Aware, Rotten Black Root.
9Snakefeast
The Pythoness

This grew off of me a bit, but I bet these guys just get better and better.

Tasty Jams: Vessel, Wither and Damiens are stand outs for me.
10Murder by Death
Big Dark Love

This is another album I keep coming back to. MBD is an all-time favorite and even thought this album is full of shorter songs that sees the band exploring new territory, it is still undeniably MBD.

Favorite tracks: Big Dark Love, Send Me Home, Hunted, Dream in Red.
11Spose
Why Am I So Happy?

Not as good as the last free mixtape and has a few recycled ideas (like always), but still some good shit here.

Winners: Kanye Go,Thanks Obama, The G.O.A.T., Nobody.
12After the Burial
Wolves Within

The death of their rhythm guitarist got me to put this back in rotation. It was probably the most fun metal album to come out last year. Haters gonna hate.

Stand-out tracks: Of Fearful Men, Pennyweight, Nine Summers, Disconnect.
