dbizzles 09.03.15	Long story short, in a division championship game, air pressure readings for Patriots' footballs came back low and rendered suspicion of foul play. They won the game, advanced to the Super Bowl and won that as well. After the season, the NFL investigated and decided it was more probable than not that the QB (Tom Brady) had something to do with the low pressure of the balls. His team was fined $1 Million USD, had to relinquish a first-round draft pick the QB was suspended 4 games. Brady appealed the suspension to the court system and won, with a judge lifting the suspension. The fine and lost draft pick remain. I may be missing a lot of details, but I'm sure you get the point.

One of them referred to themselves as 'the Deflator' for fuck's sake and was trying to get free Patriots memorabilia presumably for his efforts.

RoundOnEndHiInMiddle 09.03.15	the problem is that the NFL screwed up the initial investigation. brady got off because he was never properly informed of what he was being charged of, and brady's side was never allowed to properly review the evidence against him. at least that's what the official ruling says.

Like what kinda weird authority figure complex do you have??? In the past ball tampering has gotten teams slaps on the wrists, and quarterbacks have campaigned for more control over the game balls. It's an even more innocuous version of a spitball. Fine him, make sure he doesn't do it again, whatever, but say one goddam word about his 'legacy' and ill assume you jerk off while actively listening to first take playing in the background

Hell, he probably didn't/doesn't deserve any suspension with all things considered, but when he said he'd take a 1 game suspension I wish they'd just said, "OKAY! IT IS SETTLED."
