| Underrated Stuff That More People Should Listen To | 1 | | Funeral Suits Lily of the Valley
Excellent indie-pop album with some emo twinges. These guys from Ireland rock. | 2 | | The Killing Tree The Romance of Helen Trent
Tim McIlrath (from Rise Against)'s old side project is probably the best metalcore album I've ever heard. Shades of Refused combined with eerie tape recorder diary entries Tim supposedly found in the rubbish combined with some Spanish guitar scales make this album a must-listen. | 3 | | Crash Kings Crash Kings
Crash Kings debuted on the radio with the single "Mountain Man", but there is much more to this album, most notably "14 Arms" which slays. Definitely an underappreciated style. | 4 | | Straylight Run Straylight Run
I know this band has *slightly* more recognition than the top three on this site, but still nowhere near enough. The feelings and musicality of this release blow the doors off surrounding bands Brand New and Taking Back Sunday's discography. A delicate mix of guitar and piano, male and female vocals, Straylight Run are far too under the radar as far as the respect their music deserves. | 5 | | The Juliana Theory Emotion is Dead
Pretty good emo album that comes up in conversation more often than is actually listened to. | |

08.25.15 | Haven't heard 3 but the others are pretty decent. Although I fail to see how 4 & 5 are underrated. | MistaCrave
08.26.15 | I was about to suggest a black metal album, but then I realized that it wouldn't exactly go with the rest of the list hahaha |
