Archelirion 08.24.15	tl;dr - What speakers do you guys use and would you recommend them?
DominionMM1 08.24.15	depends on how much you're willing to spend really. my speakers are old b&o s-45's that i snagged off craigslist. also, I'd recommend avoiding a table with a built- in preamp. you can grab an older quality receiver and it'll sound better.

SCREAM! 08.24.15	I recommend a different TT tbh I got everything used off craigslist/kijiji/whatever and it's honestly the best route to go. Be patient, find stuff in your price range and do a bit of research and you'll find something much better than an atlp60
Frippertronics 08.24.15	get an LP120 or something vintage instead of a LP60.
SCREAM! 08.24.15	If anyone cares my current setup is pioneer pl-255 turntable (30$) Sherwood S-7100A receiver (70$ but mostly cause I had to pay shipping on this one) JBL J220 (45$) Very happy with the setup

SCREAM! 08.24.15	I mean, as far as new, cheap tt's go the AT-LP60 seems well regarded. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it'll sound nice and it'll definitely be easy to use. 1. However, a built in preamp simplifies things on your end in the short term but limits you in the long term. Receivers and external preamps can be replaced/upgraded gradually and you can upgrade your setup over time. A built in preamp doesn't allow this. 2. The built in cartridge on the LP60 is another upgrade limitation. 3. The tracking weight isn't ajustable so essentially you have to hope it was done properly in the factory. From what I've read, these kinds of tt's tend to be set a little heavy because it reduces the possibility of skipping, hwoever it also increases wear on records.

Also, you may not even need to save up more money since you can find some really good deals sometimes when you look enough.
