Jokers Ranked

pretty self-explanatory
1Genesis
Nursery Cryme

Mark Hamill. Still blows my mind that the guy who gave such a wet fish performance as Luke is also this Joker. I guess some people are just born to be voice actors. Hamill's Joker is so good because it's every side of the character in one - the melodramatic comedy, savage psychopathy and eloquence all rolled into one. He has his share of dodgy episodes (Christmas with the Joker lol) but has the unique ability to rise above subpar scripts and still bring the quality every time.
2Marillion
Script for a Jester's Tear

Heath Ledger. Close second, and the reward for the most surprising turnout from an actor no-one expected to be good in the role. Heath goes for the most horrific, violence-driven side of the Joker, where every joke leads to a murder. Reminds me most of the Killing Joke-style Joker than any of his counterparts, which is a huge plus, but misses out on some of the less savage, deeply buried sides in the process.
3In Flames
The Jester Race

Jack Nicholson. Has the best individual scenes of any Joker, namely the all-time favourite museum scene and his confrontation with Bruce Wayne at Vicki's apartment - LET'S GET NUTS - but doesn't hold the quality with enough consistency. Has the tendency to overact the part pretty hard, especially in the final scenes of the movie, and is less subtle than a bag of bricks to the head. Surprising, because from a non-Batman POV he's the best actor of the lot by a country mile, but just wasn't made to be the best Joker.
4Danny Elfman
Batman

Troy Baker. Is fantastic at playing Mark Hamill playing the Joker. Doesn't really bring anything of his own to the table, which is understandable in the circumstances, but still pulls off the role well.
5 The Smashing Pumpkins
The End is the Beginning is the End

Walter Koenig in that one fan-made movie that was unexpectedly good. Surprisingly feminine and flirty Joker which throws Batman off his guard.
6Prince
Batman

Cesar Romero. He was the original and paved the way, but definitely is a victim of the times his series was made in. Extra points for that iconic laugh and the scene where he fences with Alfred.
