A Day In The Life Of...
...Me. I don't really do playlists, so here's the albums i was listening to at work yesterday. First List! Enjoy! |
1 | | The Answer Rise
I have about a 40 minute walk to work in the morning and always like something rocky and upbeat. These Irish rockers are the dogs bollocks and have big things ahead of them hopefully! |
2 | | Joe Bonamassa A New Day Yesterday
Possibly the most exciting young Bluesman around. Great album that really helped to kick off a great career. |
3 | | Tommy Emmanuel Endless Road
If you were to ask me for the greatest guitarest in the world i suspect it would probably be this guy. His abililty to play what would normally be several guitar parts at once always amazes me. Great album aswell, i need far more of his stuff though! |
4 | | Bruce Springsteen Darkness on The Edge of Town
Can't beat a bit of Brucie! Nobody tells a story as well as Springsteen in my opinion. Great Album conbining the bombastic aspect of albums like "Born to Run" with the intropective moments of genius that are another hallmark of his work. |
5 | | Gov't Mule Dose
My favourite band by far. Have to listen to something of theirs regularly to get my fix. Check out "John the Revelator" and "She Said, She Said". |
6 | | Band of Horses Cease to Begin
I love this album, although i have to resist the urge to put "ghost in my room" on repeat for an hour! |
7 | | North Mississippi Allstars Hernando
Great band with a modern take on the blues. Their new album matches any of there previous releases. |
8 | | Weezer The Red Album
A nice return to form for these guys. Trademark pop-culture references and the usual smattering of ironic self-ridicule put this up alongside their debut for me. |
9 | | Frank Black Fast Man, Raider Man
Love his solo work just as much as all the better known stuff. Really nice album. Doesn't really break any boundaries, it's just realy good. |
10 | | The Fratellis Here We Stand
We're getting near the end of the working day now, so something more upbeat. Just fun Glaswegian Indie Pop. Love it, although i suspect it may not be too long before i grow tired of it. |
11 | | Disturbed Indestructible
Walking home now. I must confess i've always had a bit of a soft spot for these nu-metallers. no idea why, although I really enjoyed their set and this years download festival. So there you go, a glimpse into my working day. Hope you've enjoyed the read. |
