| Summertime Jams
With summer just a blink away, I started thinking about the albums that I tend to blast in my car with friends during the warmer months. You’re Gonna Miss It All
You're Gonna Miss It All takes equal amounts of self-deprecating humor and heart-on-sleeve lyricism, injecting just enough catchiness into the affair to keep it upbeat and head-bobbing. The short track duration is perfect for background noise while you and your friends enjoy a few beers by the pool.

Those Days Are Gone
Free Throw is a band that have finally reached their potential on Those Days Are Gone. Boasting the perfect combo of noodling emo and the hoarse shouting vocals of punk, this album is perfect for that sunny drive into work.

The Weight That You Buried
Knuckle Puck hit all of the boxes that need to be checked for modern pop punk. Soaring vocals, personal lyricism, and strong guitar leads are the highlights of this EP. Definitely for fans of Real Friends, Fireworks, and Latterman.

Real Talk
Dual vocals really make this release stand out quite a bit, and those saccharine choruses are perfect for evening drives.

I heard you the first time, it just wasn't funny
Broken record time here; I have loved this release ever since it came out last summer. Bedroom emo at its finest. The shouting vocals and songwriting chops make this a step above anything that sounds like it.
Favorite track: "Midwestern Self-Deprecation" | | 6 |  | Tiny Moving Parts
Pleasant Living
Pleasant Living is refreshingly unique, more for the positive lyrics than any songwriting choices they have made on the album. Highly recommended for the people that can't get enough of Midwestern emo.

Floral Green
I am incredibly biased when it comes to Floral Green. The combination of emo, punk, and hardcore gives it a very definitive and original sound. There is also a sense of nostalgia associated with this one, although it's hard for me to articulate why.

The Red Tree
The shimmering guitar leads and impassioned singing are the best things about The Red Tree, but overall Moneen just seemed to be a step above their peers in every way. It's unfortunate that they never really got the recognition that they deserved, but this album gets heavy plays in the summer for me.

Joyce Manor
The short, succinct songwriting on Joyce Manor's self-titled LP has yet to be matched for me. No song sticks around long enough to falter, and the catchy qualities of these tracks sticks in your mind like sharp pinpricks. Hands down on of my favorite albums.

Bleed American
Bleed American has stuck around in my music library for a very long time. The fact that I can find so many redeeming things about this album so long after first hearing it speaks to the timeless qualities that it possesses. Though Futures is a great album in its own right, I don't skip any songs any time Bleed American plays.

Gospel
Though Oh, Common Life has a special place in my heart, Gospel is my pick for one of the best summertime listens. It still has the necessary depth to be introspective, but is far more catchy than its follow up record. Armed with a unique vocalist and huge choruses, this is one of the best pop punk albums.

Dream Homes
Rough-edged gang vocals dominate Dream Homes, and honestly it's just catchy as shit. Dear Landlord consists of members from other great punk bands, and they don't try to pretend to be anything they aren't. There is a refreshing honesty in the music and lyrics present here; for fans of Off With Their Heads, The Dopamines, and Banner Pilot.
