Definitive Dance Gavin Dance LP Ranking
1Dance Gavin Dance
Downtown Battle Mountain

Godlike performances by Jonny Craig and Will Swan, immersive rainy day sleepy time kind of atmosphere.
2Dance Gavin Dance
Happiness

DGD's most album centric album. DGD at their most creative and experimental, Kurt Travis really came into his own on this record
3Dance Gavin Dance
Dance Gavin Dance

The "everything and the kitchen sink" record. So much killer material, but it's an exhausting record. There isn't much filler, but it probably should have been like 10 songs.
4Dance Gavin Dance
Instant Gratification

Got that passion back big time. The production is spot on and Tillian is much improved. Pretty fucking good in general.
5Dance Gavin Dance
Downtown Battle Mountain II

DGD's least memorable record for better or for worse. It's got some good material, but it's mostly forgettable. Jonny Craig was on autopilot, Jon Mess fucking kills it on this record, but yeah it probably would have been better if they had stuck with Kurt Travis who had just come into his own and fuck like why did they do this shit, they should have known Jonny wasn't going to last longterm ughh.
6Dance Gavin Dance
Acceptance Speech

Kinda not great. First half is cool, second half not so much. The production is really hollow and Tillian sounds like shit. I can't even remember any awesome DGD guitar riffs from this one either.
