Blashyrkh
1Immortal
Pure Holocaust

One of the few albums I'm truly emotionally attached to. It took me a while to fully appreciate the greatness of this record, but now I'm in a state where I need to jam it at least once in a while to make me feel complete.
I remember the old days, where I'd be walking through cold landscapes at night with this album as my only companion. By the time I'd get to "As The Eternity Opens", I'd feel completely weightless, ghostlike. And when it finally ended, I was holding an unreal power, something that could crush the whole world. This album is pure.
2Immortal
At the Heart of Winter

When I finally saw them live for the first time, they started their set with "Withstand the Fall of Time". This song alone embodies everything I love about Immortal. While being heavy, distorted and aggressive, there are moments of longing and fragile beauty inbetween. The guitar lead at 03:04 still haunts me everyday.
3Immortal
Battles in the North

There was a time when I'd listen to this album every night, sometimes falling asleep to it. I feel like this album is pretty close to Transilvanian Hunger and achieves nearly the same radical vision with its relentless drumming and absolutely cold, icy riffs. As soon as the snow starts falling in winter, it's time to listen to this album...
4Immortal
Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism

The production on this album is absolutely perfect. Unlike any other Immortal album this one feels rather "warm". The drums are mostly mid-paced (for Immortal standards) and sometimes there is a reverb ladden acoustic guitar on top of the songs e.g. in "Cryptic Winterstorms" that gets me every time. A beautiful, beautiful album.
5Immortal
Sons of Northern Darkness

It's an enjoyable listen, yet the albums listed above are the ones that truly get to me on an emotional level whereas this album is fun, but no revelation. I can't really put my finger on it, maybe it has something to do with the rather sterile production. Most of the time I'd rather listen to the live recordings on "The Seventh Date Of Blashyrkh" instead.
6Immortal
Damned In Black

A big step back from AtHoW. Same concept with less ideas.
7Immortal
All Shall Fall

Not bad. Not very interesting either.
8Immortal
Blizzard beasts

A very odd album with absolutely horrible production. Mountains Of Might is alright,
