Essential Power Metal

Feeling a bit nostalgic for my early 20's. Here are some awesome power metal jams from that time period (99 - 2001ish)
1HammerFall
Legacy of Kings

Epic vocals, grand theme's... like a Dragonlance novel set to song.
2Stratovarius
Visions

The Kiss of Judas may be one of my favorite songs in this genre. Also, keyboard/guitar dueling solo's for the win.
3Primal Fear
Primal Fear

I'm not usually a fan of the more 'Halford' vocal styles, but this is priest worship with power metal undertones. Well worth checking out.
4Iced Earth
Something Wicked This Way Comes

The best release from this band, I don't think this left my cd changer for something like 4 years back in the day.
5Dream Evil
Dragon Slayer

A little over the top, but then again who want's subtle power metal?
6Blind Guardian
Nightfall in Middle-Earth

Remember how I said Hammerfall was a Dragonlance novel set to song? Well this is Lord of the Rings, and even more awesome.
7Morgana Lefay
Maleficium

A little more thrash with your power metal? Why not!
8Nevermore
Dead Heart In A Dead World

The riffs... oh man.
