When this was released the early Death albums were not easy to track down (at least not where I lived). This was a great way to get studio fresh recordings as opposed to waiting for mail orders that never arrived or dubs of dubbed tapes that sounded like shit. At the time, it was a hard 5 and a necessary purchase for the budding DM fan.

Sepultura Chaos A.D.
Sepultura Roots
Shotgun Messiah Violent New Breed

Tankard Chemical Invasion
The Breathing Process Odyssey (un)Dead
How did i not hear of this band before? It's dark, intense and melodic at the same time. Some of the best that Deathcore has to offer!
The Chasm Deathcult for Eternity: The Triumph

Chimaira The Age Of Hell
Solidly in the middle on this one. It's WORLDS better than Infection though. Some of the more melodic parts have an Alice in Chains ring to them. Losing My Mind is a great track.
D.R.I. Crossover
Dangerous Toys Dangerous Toys
Danzig Danzig
Darkness Dynamite The Astonishing Fury of Mankind
Deicide Amon: Feasting the Beast
A look into Deicide's brief past (well, at the time it was released anyways)

Dismember Where Ironcrosses Grow
Dropkick Murphys 11 Short Stories of Pain and Glory
If you aren't into the band this is a solid 2. If you are into the band this is a solid 4. This
should mean this is a 3. I give it an extra .5 because I'm going to go drink a 12 pack of Guinness
while listening to 'I Had a Hat'.

Every Avenue Bad Habits
Exodus Impact Is Imminent
Falling in Reverse The Drug in Me Is You
Falling in Reverse Fashionably Late
Flaw Divided We Fall
G-Eazy The Endless Summer
I'm really weird with the rap/hip hop that I like. The blend of 50's and 60's doo wop hooks and a flow similar to early Eminem make this really enjoyable.

Pantera Vulgar Display of Power
Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals War Of The Gargantuas
Poison Open Up and Say... Ahh!
Prong Carved Into Stone
Very organic... love the tone and the drums on this one. Prong brings the riffs....
Prong Ruining Lives
Another decent record from Prong. Very consistent, much like the rest of their discography.
Pungent Stench Dirty Rhymes And Psychotronic Beats
Fun EP, and some of the best cover art in the history of ever.
Rage Against The Machine Renegades
Rage Nucleaire Unrelenting Fucking Hatred
Rancid Life Won't Wait
Ringworm Hammer of the Witch
Santa Cruz Screaming For Adrenaline
Sirens & Sailors Still Breathing
Solid effort. Kinda of a been there and done that thing, but it's 'core' release so it's hard to bitch about a band doing 'core' music. The vocalist has some chops when it comes to his screams though.
Sister Stand Up, Forward, March!
For those that like the harder side of hair metal.
Skeletonwitch The Apothic Gloom
Skeletonwitch does not miss a step in this transitional EP. Review coming shortly.

We Came As Romans Understanding What We've Grown to Be
If you don't like metalcore, and you already know what it's going to be going into it, then why the fuck are you listening to it? Half the low ratings here are due to butt-hurt metal fanboys that haven't liked an album since 1985
Whitechapel This Is Exile

3.0 good
Alestorm Black Sails at Midnight
Anterior Echoes of the fallen
Anthrax Sound of White Noise
As I Lay Dying Awakened
Asking Alexandria Stand Up and Scream
Benighted Carnivore Sublime
Blessthefall Awakening
It's a genre release. They aren't reinventing the wheel here, but they have improved both musically and in their writing capacity. I think this is a definite step up from their last one. Initial thoughts are a 4 and this will most likely round out at a 3 after a month.
Blessthefall Hollow Bodies
Bullet For My Valentine Temper Temper
Bullet For My Valentine Venom
Cannibal Corpse Eaten Back to Life
Cannibal Corpse Evisceration Plague
Chelsea Grin My Damnation
Solid deathcore outing. Nothing mind blowing but it's definitely worth a few spins.
Cher Lloyd Sticks + Stones
Death Angel The Dream Calls for Blood
Dropping a point. Initially a really good release looses itself in sameness after a few weeks of listening.
Deicide Insineratehymn
Dismember The God That Never Was
Dismember Massive Killing Capacity
Dismember Dismember
Escape the Fate Ungrateful
Hiss From the Moat Misanthropy
A sinister way to close out 2013. The band has dropped the deathcore leanings from their EP and are on point with the new LP.
Hopsin Raw
Iced Earth Horror Show
Infant Annihilator The Palpable Leprosy of Pollution
Killswitch Engage Disarm the Descent
Limp Bizkit Three Dollar Bill Y'all
Ludacris Chicken 'N' Beer
Machine Head Unto the Locust
If Burn my eyes is Kill Em All and The Blackening is Ride the Lightning this is... fuck it's not quite their Master of Puppets, more like ....and Justice For All. Been playing it all weekend though and it's still really, really good.

Mortillery Origin of Extinction
Municipal Waste The Fatal Feast
Mutiny Within Synchronicity
Obituary World Demise
Of Mice and Men Restoring Force
Overkill Under the Influence

This album shreds face right up until the end. The last tracks go into experimental territory and just wreck a decent, if not generic metal album. The first 5 songs are a freight train though.
Rage The Devil Strikes Again
Reign of Fury World Detonation
Slayer Divine Intervention
Steel Panther Lower the Bar
Suffokate Return to Despair
We Are The In Crowd Best Intentions

All That Remains A War You Cannot Win
ATR forgets the important lesson in life. You can't please everyone. They try to do so here and come up with an album absolutely drenched in mediocrity. The clean vocals are a complete waste.

I laughed fucking hard listening to this. I don't know if it's so bad it's great, or so great it's fucking horrible. "Sharks Live in Water. There's Water in My Toilet. I Rest My Case." is EPIC. OH, FUCK... HERE COMES A SHARK!

Iron Maiden No Prayer for the Dying
Iwrestledabearonce It's All Happening
Korn Life Is Peachy
Kylesa Ultraviolet

I'm a big revival thrash fan and this was middle of the road for me. This has been done before and done better.
Marilyn Manson Smells Like Children
Megadeth The World Needs a Hero
Megadeth Th1rt3en
If you're looking for thrashy Megadeth, please look away. It's like Dave tried to please every fan of every different style Megadeth has ever done, and it comes across as somewhat of a hot mess. There are some great parts on here, but it's going to be largely forgettable.
Motionless in White Infamous
Obituary Inked in Blood
Going to stick it at average for now. Will take some more listens; it's okay, but really lacks the ferocity of their earlier work.
Overkill Relix IV
Overkill Necroshine
Overkill The Killing Kind
Overkill Bloodletting
Pantera Reinventing The Steel
Rise To Remain City of Vultures
Slayer God Hates Us All
Slayer Diabolus in Musica
Slipknot Iowa

Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter
I wanted to like this, really I did. And after not really listening to any Slipknot for a long time It was not bad. Then I made the mistake of listning to their self titled album right afterwards and made this instantly sound boring and bland.
Sodom Epitome of Torture
Color me disappointed. I was totally stoked for this and it's thrash metal vanilla ice cream :
Tennessee Murder Club Carving A Legacy
Generic is definitetly the word of the day here. Nothing terrible, just painfully average deathcore.
