01.30.15 | Incredible I've never heard this question in my life
also neither |
pedro70512
01.30.15 | Priest perfected three different styles with Sad Wings, Stained, and Painkiller. Maiden was more consistently great but I'll take the highest highs and go with Judas Priest. |
Royl123
01.30.15 | Iron Maiden man m/ m/ |
ZombicidalMan
01.30.15 | maiden |
sumyunguy
01.30.15 | Honestly, Meshuggah is better than both |
JamieTwort
01.30.15 | Sad Wings of Destiny is easily better than any Maiden album but I'd say Maiden are better overall. Most of what Priest
released after the 70's isn't that good. |
manosg
01.30.15 | Easily Maiden for me but if I had to choose just one album from the whole NWOBHM it would be Lightning to the Nations. |
Jasdevi087
01.30.15 | Has to be Maiden, never got Judas Priest tbh. |
thacoconut94
01.30.15 | Maiden hands down. |
Dodenakker
01.30.15 | Neither. |
tempest--
01.30.15 | um Priest you fuckin nerd |
BigPleb
01.30.15 | Maiden for consistency but I prefer SWoD and SC to any Maiden album.
Still, gotta go with Maiden. |
YetAnotherBrick
01.30.15 | Maiden by far |
Totengott
01.30.15 | Priest by far. |
piroga84
01.30.15 | I ll have to go with Priest until British Steel and with Maiden from No. Beast.
BUT reedemer of souls smokes everything maiden did after 2000! |
Mythodea
01.30.15 | Never was too much into JP apart from some songs. Maiden all the way, |

01.30.15 | Priest were more dynamic. Iron Maiden perfected their signature sound and stuck with it. |
pedro70512
01.30.15 | Dynamic, see also: inconsistent |
Solbrave
01.30.15 | maiden has more albums i'd listen to regularly but sad wings of destiny is my fav album by either of them by a solid margin over seventh son |
RadioSuicide
01.30.15 | Priest m/m/m/ |
TalonsOfFire
01.30.15 | Maiden probably, close though [2] |
JWT155
01.30.15 | Dynamic doesn't equate to inconsistent. They put out more mediocre and even poor records than Maiden but they perfected multiple styles from Sad Wings, Screaming for Vengeance to Painkiller. Maiden never made any drastic changes.
Compare the 2 if it were actors. One's made a bunch of dud flicks but has had pillar roles in genres ranging from Sci-Fi, Drama, Horror to Broadway. Actor number 2 has never done anything terrible but has been a type casted action star their whole career. |
RivalSkoomaDealer
01.30.15 | Maiden for me as far as number of classic albums. |
Snowdog808
01.31.15 | I would have to agree with Pedro. Judas Priest is the one I would go with in terms of having the most glorious highs, being Sad Wings and Stained Class. In terms of consistency though, that's another story.

Painkiller
Sin After Sin

02.07.15 | Frankly I never got into Maiden as much as Priest. I saw Priest live though so I'm biased in this case. |
