My Dying Bride's been around for 24 years now. This poor fella has had rto experience his rbride's approaching doom for almost a quarter of a rdecade now, and she has yet to drop. rSo to commemorate his anguish, rhere are the studio albums as I would rank them.
There's some lowest of the low stuff here (is it redundant to actually say Heroin
Chic?), but also some brilliant tracks - Der ?berlebende has My (un)Dying
love.
"I'm sorry to hear your friend is depressed. Play him some Songs of Darkness,
should kick him right out of that funk." Somewhere in the city there is the echo of
a single gunshot.
Refined and melancholic tales of death and loneliness. The atmosphere on this
album is stunning. A Tapestry Scorned is the greatest story ever told in a metal
song.
Really controversial choices for the top 2, for sure. The perfect death/doom album,
with the best riffs the band's ever composed. (And the stately incorporation of the
violin adds an elegance that no other album possesses).
