The Day Of J Jams
self explanatory, ok? better j-jam than sorry |
1 | | j mascis tied to a star
just got it today, love it nearly as much as its predecessor |
2 | | jackson c. frank jackson c. frank
actually, blues run the game, but it isn't in the sput system yet (frankly, i should do
something about it) |
3 | | jake bugg jake bugg
broken is my favorite song off this, mainly because it has a some of that haunting
quality that really good folk songs are wrapped in:
Down in the valley where church bells cry, I'll leave them over to your eyes -
woaaah oaaah |
4 | | james blake james blake
i own overgrown, but must admit that i rarely listen to it. this on the other hand is
always on my ipod. good for waiting on classes to start, tho it has its filler |
5 | | james taylor sweet baby james
some people might find this the softest sound ever put on record, i love the
production and the simpliticity of his lyrics. walkin on a cunn'y rooad, yeaah
mama don't understand it, she wants to know where i've been, I have to be some
kinda natural fool to wanna pass that way again. |
6 | | jeff buckley grace
Well, needless to say... the boy can sing, halle... that pretty much covers it, oh
and this is not what matt was talking about in graceless. this is essential stuff |
7 | | the jesus and mary chain psychocandy
pure jamc |
8 | | bob dylan nashville skyline
well, in my itunes it says johnny cash & bob dylan. north country girl, wow |
9 | | joni mitchell court and spark
i'm in trouble coz you're a rambler and a gambler and a sweettalking ladies' man |
10 | | joy division closer
mother i've tried believe me |
11 | | julia holter loud city song
you will either jam this like a madman unhinged or hate it with a vengeance. no
reason for the latter of course, so start by jamming In The Green Wild (it has a
killer baseline). let's get lost in the big city |
12 | | julian casablancas phrazes for the young
a friend recommended this, and upon hearing 11th dimension i thought i had
certainly struck gold. anyway, 11thd is jam alright |
13 | | julian plenti julian plenti is... Skyscraber
he is nothing of the kind. but there are good songs on this, not matter what your
die hard interpol fans may claim - No Chance Survival, Fly As You Might... |
14 | | julie byrne rooms with walls and windows
i'm probably still the only who has rated this. i rated it with a 3.5 because it's a
great folk record, though it tends to drag and go nowhere sometimes, when you
most expect it. a very handsome debut for this girl though (you'll probably dig her if
you like angel olsen and similar artists etc.) |
