Norway's Sleeping Prince Returns

Manes, much like Ulver started off in Norway around 1993 as a raw black metal band. Manes like Ulver began fucking around with their sound, goign through jazz, trip-hop, alternative rock and art rock. They're a really fuckin good band that is criminally underlooked here any anything but a Ulver clone..

Vntrve

A new two track ep in 2014 that should appeal to fans of Dredg. A far cry from their slow, synth driven bm but still really good.
2Manes
Under Ein Blodraud Maane

Their lone black metal album but it's a good one that deserves to be held in the same regard as Burzum, Darkthrone and Immortal's shit. Raw, gritty, synthy, it's the witches tits. Trve, grim but well-written and accessible. Fans of Emperor and early Burzum should love this.
3Manes
Ned i stillheten

Some of their demos. This particularly lo-fi demo crawls at a snails pace but brings the #savagery and #synthmountainsofmadness

Til kongens grav de d?de vandrer

Throne.

Vilosophe

Their breakaway from black metal. Weird, quirky and upbeat. This is where they start getting avant-garde with their musical approach. Still got plenty riffs, some strange breakbeat and trip-hop sections, catchy clean vocals that aren't really that great but go well with the music. Fans of Tool, In The Woods..., Strapping Young Lad, Dredg and Arcturus should dig this.

How the World Came To An End

Follow-up to Vilosphe but with more electronic elements, female operatic vocals, moderate rapping, dark beats, eerie synths and guitars. Fans of The Vision Bleak, Arcturus, Radiohead and Faith No More.
