Genre Defining Albums

i was thinking about this the other day and decided to make a list to expand upon it. can genres be defined in as rlittle as three albums? i think thats a good number, you can cover most of the nuances of the style while remaining rsuccinct enough to get the point across with a fairly small time investment. they dont necessarily have to be the rbest of the genre, but have to cover, collectively, most of the ground covered in each respective genre. these are rthe genres i like to think im experienced well enough in and listen to the most the be able to make blanket rstatements like this. feel free to throw in ideas or give a top three for other genres i didnt/cant cover.
