| My Top 5 Bands Of All Time
A very hard list to make. | 1 | | John Coltrane Blue Train
John Coltrane is an incredible saxophonist. His discography is a masterpiece. With every album being a 3.5 or higher. Blue Train, A Love Supreme and Giant Steps are my favorite albums of all time. I'm totally addicted to his amazing music and i'll be a fan for the rest of my life. | 2 | | The Beatles Revolver
There's no describing The Beatles impact they had on music. Timeless albums, timeless songs and timeless energy. The band always had great variety in their music and will forever be, true poets of pop culture. | 3 | | Miles Davis Kind of Blue
Miles Davis is a legend for many different reasons, it was his soulful and varied trumpet playing that made him worth while, his consistency and strength, each track he put out and with masterful records like, Kind of Blue, Jack Johnson, Bitches Brew and In A Silent Way. There was no denying his impact on music. | 4 | | Elliot Smith Either/Or
Elliot Smith is a fabulous singer-songwriter. His music, songwriting and playing, was just magnificent. He put so much effort and emotion in his songs. ''It made him a legend'' He never failed to put out a bad album, just consistent all the way through. | 5 | | Godspeed You! Black Emperor F#A# (Infinity)
Godspeed is praised for all the right reasons. Not only, are their one of the most mesmerizing musicians, you will ever listen to. It's how each song blows you every single time, you listen to it'' The guitars, bass, drums and overall atmosphere. Godspeed is an incredible band and a define spot for my top 5. | |
