01.23.14 | its short for downtempo electronic but its one of those genres that is sort of just a spoken term and doesnt really mean anything. downtempo is usually used to describe things like ambient and ambient techno music but its just sort of an overarching term.
i wouldnt call it a genre, just more like a genre description.
