Pantera Ranked

Been jamming Pantera the past couple of days.. all of it.
9Pantera
I Am the Night

I am the worst. I think it's Terry Glaze that kills it for me, as some of the riffs hit (title track) but overall I can't stand this one.
8Pantera
Projects in the Jungle

Actually a step down from Metal Magic for me. Not sure if I've listened to this entire thing more than 3 or 4 times.
7Pantera
Metal Magic

Not their worst, but painfully average glam with some flashes of brilliance from one Diamon Darrell.
6Pantera
Reinventing the Steel

If 7, 8 and 9 weren't almost garbage, this would be their worst. Still can't get into this one.
5Pantera
Vulgar Display of Power

Was my jam when it came out. Taking off the rose colored glasses and this is a very disjointed effort. Hollow and A New Level still slam though.
4Pantera
Far Beyond Driven

An album full of singles. 5 minutes alone and Shedding skin though make this one for me.
3Pantera
The Great Southern Trendkill

A mess, but a well done mess. The band at their darkest and angriest.
2Pantera
Power Metal

Shreds almost as hard as anything on Cowboys with a little more old school 80's feel to it.
1Pantera
Cowboys from Hell

The album that turned the band around. Even the weaker songs slay and Phil still used his metal screech..
