Sevendust Albums Ranked

Probably one of the most underrated Alternative Metal bands of the r1990s/2000s, their combination of soulful singing, rock-hard riffs, and funky rmetal drumming has definitely left an impact on me
1Sevendust
Animosity

The band's 3rd album is their defining record, packed to the brim with impressive
melodies and strong songwriting. It manages to be the perfect combination of their
aggressive origins and their melody-central later years
2Sevendust
Sevendust

The band's heaviest album by far, and not too far behind Animosity in terms of
quality, songs like "Black", "Terminator" and "Bitch" have no problem getting a mosh
pit started
3Sevendust
Alpha

Many fans of the band write this album off simply because it's part of the Sonny
Mayo-era of the band, but this record in reality is one of their best, acting as a
midway point between the sounds of the self-titled and Animosity (with added
experimentation in songs such as the 9 minute "Burn")
4Sevendust
Black Out the Sun

A return-to-form for the group after two admittedly average records, BOTS
manages to bring to mind a more technical version of the band's early work
5Sevendust
Home

A decent, albeit slightly disappointing follow-up to the self-titled debut, this album
starts strong with tracks such as "Denial" and "Reconnect", then loses steam pretty
hard after track 7. The closing song "Bender" with Chino Moreno rules however
6Sevendust
Cold Day Memory

While many fans were happy to see original guitarist Clint Lowery rejoin the band
after being absent for 3 years, his reunion album with the group was a mixed bag.
Some songs like "Strong Arm Broken", "Splinter" and "The End Is Coming" are good
representations of the band's new technical ability, but others like "Unraveling" and
"Better Place" come across as over-polished (thanks but no thanks Johnny K) and
unimpressive
7Sevendust
Seasons

This album found the band at their most commercial sounding, and while "Enemy"
and "Face to Face" have become live favorites, the majority of the album contains
a good deal of faceless pop
8Sevendust
Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow

An album riddled with guest appearances, the songs here have never caught my
attention all that much, and it was beginning to appear obvious that the band's
chemistry with Sonny Mayo was deteriorating
9Sevendust
Next

By far the band's low point, the only song that can even be called a highlight is
"Pieces". The band has admitted on many occasions that they felt they rushed the
recording and writing of this, and it shows
