My 2013 Albums Of The Year

I know the year isn't over yet, but I dont know of any good albums being released in December. For me 2013 was a slow year for good music, and a year with a lot of disappointments. I could only come up with 5 albums I think are worth an album of the year mention.
5The Dear Hunter
Migrant

The Dear Hunter is sometimes hit and miss with me. All of the Act albums are incredible! The Color Spectrum is mostly bad, with a few great songs. Migrant is a mix of both, but mostly great songs. I personally am still waiting for Casey to return to the Act Albums and making more constant amazing music!
4Queensryche
Queensryche

Growing up, Queensryche was my first ever favorite band. Then, as anyone familiar with them knows, the lead singer gradually became a huge DICK-tator. Eventually leading to the splitting up of the band and two current groups under the QR name. This album is (most of) the original members returning to form with a new lead singer. The album is short, and has a few areas of bad sound quality. But overall this is a MASSIVE step in the right direction for the real band.
3Fleshgod Apocalypse
Labyrinth

This one is the biggest shocker for me. Although I do tend to lean more towards heavier music, I'm not a huge fan of the death growl. I just happened to listen to this album one day cause it was one sputnik and I was bored. Most people hate this for the orchestration and how there is too much going on. That is honestly the reason I love this! I understand it drowns out the band a lot and the production isn't the best. But I think these guys mix the two genre's together perfectly! There is so much going on at one time it shuts my brain up, and keeps it busy! Which is not an easy thing to do.
2Haken
The Mountain

This one is a late entry. I remember listening to it when it first came out and thinking, "meh...not too bad, but not that great". Then about one week ago I decided to give it another listen for some reason and I liked it a little bit more. Then after a few more listens it clicked and I absolutely love it! Yes, the lyrics can be a little cheesy at some points, get over it! That really is the only downside to this album. Otherwise it might be a 5.
1Queens of the Stone Age
...Like Clockwork

What can I say about this album that probably hasn't already been said? I have always been a huge fan of QOTSA, and they are firing on all cylinders on this album. My only complaint about this album is that it is too short!
