08.05.13 | Show is so fucking good just binge watched the first part of Season 5 on Netflix. I would say the last episode that aired is a classic. |

08.05.13 | Last couple episodes of season 4 were phenomenal. The end of crawl space was one of the most chilling moments I've ever experienced in a tv show or even movie. Just the phone ringing, Walt's maniacal laughing, and Skylar's horrified look blended together so hauntingly well. |
ILJ
08.05.13 | so hyped man it's gonna be great |

08.05.13 | Most fans either love or hate fly. I love it, personally. I thought it the message was well executed and it is also downright hilarious at times. Boxcutter is a very underrated episode. It set the dark tone for the rest of the season and also holds some of the most shocking moments in the entire show. And the final moments of Crawl Space is my favorite scene in the entire show. |

08.05.13 | how many episodes in the 2nd half of the 5th season? |
ILJ
08.05.13 | yeah box cutter is awesome. the careless way in which Gus changes into whatever it was he changed into while Walt was trying to talk his way out of trouble and he just walks up and slits that guys throat while staring Walt in the eye. cold blooded shit |

08.05.13 | Wasn't Fly's main purpose just to get Walt and Jesse talking about what happened with Jane and such? Seemed mostly like an episode to allow for that conversation, and that's pretty much it. |

08.05.13 | People hated it because everything else was so exciting that they couldn't wait with those storylines. Fly was great, one can appreciate it as part of the actual character developments, mindsets, motivations. A lot of stuff that you have to know about to truly understand and be interested in the characters. BB isn't about just watching time-out episodes and action.
btw, the sitcom videos are hilarious! |

And to those hating on "Fly," I understand why. It was a bottle episode, yes. But why bottle episodes are synonymous with filler episodes are beyond me. It is was an important episode in my opinion. |
ILJ
08.05.13 | Fly is a brilliant episode. Although it was also the first episode I watched of the series (i had heard it being hyped endlessly and saw an episode on AMC once and it happened to be that one) so it wasn't a very good introduction to the show. |
YourDarkAffected
08.05.13 | "Episode is about as far removed from filler as it can get"
You'd wouldn't say an episode that doesn't further the plot is a filler? |
YourDarkAffected
08.05.13 | I've never heard the term "bottle episode" but I'd agree that that's what it is. I guess I thought filler encompassed that as well. |
avonbarksdale221
08.05.13 | Its basically when they make an entire episode using an established set and only main characters in order to save money. |
Judio!
08.06.13 | The Walking Dead episode "Clear" is a fantastic bottle episode, one of my favorite bottle episodes of any show. Definitely check that one out if you are interested in bottle episodes. |
avonbarksdale221
08.06.13 | The Walking Dead never really did it for me, the Pilot episode was great but it went a bit downhill from there IMO. Gave it away at the end of the first season, and from what I've heard its only gotten worse so I'm glad I did. |
Judio!
08.06.13 | I must disagree. I love The Walking Dead, and I thought season 3 was great (albeit a terrible season finale). |
Cormano
08.06.13 | here's my prediction for the final episodes:
>Hank realizes and confronts Walt on being Heisenberg
>Walt listens to Hanks rant on how Walt crossed the line and is an awful person for ruining his family etc.
>Walt laughs at Hank and says "You know, you are a decent DEA agent, how are you not getting this?"
>Hank is confused and asks Walt what he's talking about.
>Walt says "At one point, I thought you actually had me figured out after I had Gale murdered."
>Walt stands back and reaches behind his back
>Pulls back zipper, takes off his Walter White costume to reveal that he is Willy Wonka.
>Hank stares at him and says "Son of a bitch! I knew it!" and tries to pull out his gun.
>Hanks gun is made of chocolate
>"What? You can't steal a DEA agents gun!"
>Willy Wonka smiles and says "The candyman can."
>Marie strips naked
>She's actually two Oompa Loompas in a disguise
>The top Oompa Loompa says "Now you die! I hope you like being under six feet of dirt and rocks."
>Hank's anger rises "DAMN IT MARIE" He screams, "THEY'RE MINERALS!"
>Hank uses his rage to go into berserker mode
>+8 attack, + 4 stamina, + 7 defense, - 9 dexterity
>Hank beats the Marie Oompa Loompas to death
>During which, Willy Wonka escapes with the Walter White costume
>Flash Forward one year
>Wonka is collecting his weapon as we saw in the flash forward
>Goes back to his chocolate factory to defend his biggest meth lab inside from Hank
>Battle insues, Hank wins
>Finds the real Walter inside the factory, he's been kept prisoner and fed only snozberries
>They hug it out
>Walter inherits factory, removes meth lab, becomes rich chocolate tycoon
>Walter Jr. gets all the breakfast he can eat
>Jessie was actually Charlie the whole time |
UrsaMajor
08.06.13 | I like the idea floating around out there that at some point in the final episodes, Walt Jr. becomes addicted to his father's own product. Probably not going to happen but it's a fairly amusing prediction, imo. |

Arrest your wife's sister for money laundering, leaving our children wards of the state? Tell me, Hank, how do you plan on explaining that all your physical therapy was paid for with drug money? How will you convince all your colleagues that you haven't been in on it from the beginning? As I see it, you were also one of the last people in contact with Hector Salamanca just hours before he blew up Gus Fring, and he specifically asked for you. Who's to say you didn't give him the bomb so he could take out Fring on my behalf? Or should I say our behalf? Please, tell me Hank, what is your brilliant plan for bringing me down without destroying your entire life and everyone you love? Because I'm dying to know! |

But... wait, what?
Half of the entire show revolves around Walt relationship with Jesse, not to mention living with the consequences of your actions. I hope you're not going to try and imply that none of that is solidified and strengthened in that episode |
YourDarkAffected
08.06.13 | "I hope you're not going to try and imply that none of that is solidified and strengthened in that episode"
Of course not. The episode is undeniably important to the show. From my perspective before, a filler was an episode that did not involve the plot line advancing, and that's the only episode I can recall that is like that. But I think it falls more into a "bottle episode" than a filler, now that I know such a term exists.

08.06.13 | Would you not consider something that sets up future events as forwarding the plot though? |
YourDarkAffected
08.06.13 | Which event was set up? And of course no episode is going to be completely pointless, especially not one from the mind of Vince Gilligan, but I don't remember anything outside of character development happening (which yes, ultimately affects the plot). I'm not trying to be black and white here haha. |
