02.11.08 | Ya, Thrash is my least favorite, I had to digg deep for #10 |
Wolfy
02.11.08 | I think Melodic Death should have gone to Children Of Bodom- Follow The Reaper, but hey, thats just me. props for 6. |
PigDestroyer89

skullcrusher149
02.11.08 | Wow, no way BTBAM deserve the Progressive genre. TOOL you fool! |
BallsToTheWall
02.11.08 | Riverside is a btter choice than BTBAM. Is deathcore even a genre? I hope not. I agree with 4 sharing the crown with The Gallery. 9's great but not technically Black Metal. Boo to7 and 10. |
Yazz_Flute
02.11.08 | The Jester Race is better than Colony...marginally.
For thrash it should either be Master of Puppets, Rust in Piece, or M-16. |
Pebster49
02.11.08 | Progressive was stacked, I could have gone Blackwater Park, or Still Life from Opeth...or Aenima from Tool...BTBAM is just sooo much more stuck in my head right now tho... |
Thor
02.11.08 | 10 isn't thrash. |
Doppelganger
02.11.08 | #8 is not even close to metal. |
Bfhurricane
02.11.08 | Colors is incredible, but Id make the argument that Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence or Scenes From A Memory by Dream Theater is better progressive metal.
Spot on with 5, couldn't be more wrong on 10 though. That should be Ride the Lightning. |
Tyler
02.11.08 | Wow dude, 8 is a pretty huge fucking fail. Perdition City is a fucking trip-hop album. |
Pebster49
02.11.08 | thats why its OTHER...its fucking good tho |
botb
02.11.08 | 1. DEFINITELY.
2. Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory
3. I don't really listen to a lot of folk metal but i've heard it's great.
4. At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
5. Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache (sorry converge and botch fanboys, not diggin those bands that much)
6. yes or maybe Vital Remains- Dechristianize
7. Swallow the Sun - Hope
8. Yes.
9. Don't listen to much black metal but dissection is good.
10. Ride the Lightening |
Zoo
02.11.08 | List is meh. If you're thrash-starved, Testament will fix you up. |
Eliminator
02.11.08 | lol |
ninjuice
02.11.08 | Definitely replace 5 with something Unearth or Killswitch
Dark Tranquillity deserves a spot up there as well. |
kattunlover69
02.11.08 | I'm surprised anyone didnt say A7X sucks or something to that degree......hope josh D dont see this list |
Metalikane
02.11.08 | A7X sucks |
Jim
02.11.08 | 10 is hardly thrash :/ |
Pebster49
02.11.08 | Basically I don't really like Thrash...For 8, Unexpect could have been in there too, but I like Ulvers a tiny tiny bit better. A7X was better in the early days...sounds nothing like that boring stuff released last year. |
rasputin
02.11.08 | this list is pretty bad
between the buried and me is hardly progressive
and novembers doom the best of the entire doom genre? you've got to be kidding |
SynGates
02.11.08 | Cool idea and pretty good list.
There's better metalcore out there and better thrash as well. Also, I wouldn't say that 8 is metal at all let alone post metal. Stuff like Neurosis or Isis would be a better pick for that one. |
TheStarclassicTreatment
02.11.08 | no power or speed? |
BroRape
02.11.08 | two and five are the only ones i've heard that i like. i hate ten. metallica sucks since the eighties are over. |
McP3000
02.12.08 | 1. Don't have any deathcore

4. Dark Tranquillity-The Gallery owns 4
5. Converge-Jane Doe
6. Hell Yes
