Pennywise_M 05.31.13	@winsomniac, yes but these aren't my absolute favorite Deathcore albums, just random albums i like a lot. @subtlebody, i do know. Didn't go all analyst about that. Just made the distinction between both genres thinking people would understand, which im sure they do. I also know Deathcore is Death Metal + Metalcore, but i also make the distinction, as Death Metal bands are very, very different of Deathcore bands most of the time.

wacknizzle 06.01.13	The Red Chord fit the definition of deathcore even though they sound nothing like what deathcore is now, it's just horrible lumping them in with a complete shit genre.
Pennywise_M 06.02.13	@ Dolving, i've listened to Glass Casket and didn't like it at all, love that ASP album, The Red Chord i've heard many years ago so i might give them a try again. Yeah well, Deathcore IS somewhat of a stale genre. I mean most of that "true" Deathcore, breakdown laden songs, samey structures or no structures at all, lack of lead guitar work. It can be pretty underwhelming. I for one can go weeks listening to one Deathcore album i scored with a 3 just because it goes down pretty easily. There's some of that said stale Deathcore in which i still happen to find something to like. But i get why people dis on the genre. Shame that many folks end up losing the trail of some good bands because they "hate core" though. Deathcore still has many good bands. Be it technical deathcore, prog, djent influented, melodic or just plain Deathcore. But i'm Deathcoreira so yeah. lol

Pennywise_M 06.02.13	@cage, I would man. I'm pretty open to try any kind of Death metal, but im starting to think i just don't have it in me to jam to 90's death metal on a daily basis. Even though i quite enjoy some stuff from Death. I might be way more open to modern Death/Tech Death or even prog. But mainly more recent stuff, i guess.
