@to all talking about the drop in ratings- It's been getting generally outstanding reviews for a film of this nature, better reviews than any gory horror film in as long as I can remember actually-but even if the ratings did drop dramatically, I give the least amount of fucks because this is not the kind of movie that strikes me as 'critic-friendly', unless the critic specifically writes for horror...more reason why I'm shocked at the insane amount of overwhelmingly positive reviews

@MetallicOpeth-It's premiering at 10pm in my area in NY...I have no idea why, I've never heard of a movie premiering before midnight on Fridays. It's always 'the midnight showing' but I guess the movie industry realized that it's Evil Dead and some fans such as myself would literally explode if they had to wait just two more hours-they don't want to be responsible for the death of us, they need us for money and stuff

04.04.13 | I go back and forth between the first two constantly, I can't decide which one I prefer. Army is definitely fun, but it's a little too over the top with its slapstick and incoherentness while lacking any real horror at all...it's just not my thing, even though it's still fun.

04.05.13 | Saw it- strangely it's getting a lot of negative feedback now that it's actually out, but I don't get that at all. Constant creative horror scenarios just kept happening scene after scene, did not hold back on gore at all and that served to help the horror rather than just gross out the audience(like watching someone get tortured), awesome cinematography, etc. Some of the dialogue was cheesy, yeah, but if people know anything about Evil Dead I don't see why that would ever be a reason to openly despise the film, which is a main reason people are bitching. I dunno, I fucking loved it and I had very high expectations. |
